His mother's necklace. That was all he had that would remind of him of a life long gone. A reminder he intend to give his sister.
If he found her.
The pearls seemed to mock him. His power and money weren't enough to bring back his one and only kin.
He didn't intend to be so curt towards Satine, considering what she had gone through. He couldn't help thinking of his own sister every time he looked at her...
The wine left a bitter after taste as Eisuke shook his head, as if that would erase the thought of any ill fate his own sister might have found herself in.
That he might never his sister again was enough to make him angry.
He would find her. He didn't make it this far just to give up.
But it seemed the information Eisuke most desired would remain elusive to him.
He hadn't been gone too long when it happened, the deafening noise stunned him only for a second before he started rushing out of his suite, still on his pants and nothing else. He met a frightened Satine on his way down, and without thinking he held the girl by the arm and dragged her along with him.
"Sir?! Sir, I heard--"
"I know. Come with me." He didn't bother looking back, and only when the elevator doors closed on them did he notice he was still half-naked and was momentarily nonplussed.
Satine must've realized the same thing, her face reddening as she stopped the doors from closing, saying almost instantly, "I will get you a shirt, Sir."
Eisuke frowned, but only after a moment's hesitation did he say, "I will be down at the lobby. Meet me there."
Satine nodded, took the keycard from him and ran out of the elevator back to his suite.
Damn. He had even forgotten his phone.
As soon as he reached the lobby, he was met by an agonized Kenzaki.
Eisuke didn't have to ask. He could still see the flames blazing like a mini inferno outside, just in time to see Soryu making his way towards him.
"Where are they?"
Soryu explained how Ota led the way for the bidders who scurry either to get to the parking lot or back to their suites, while a masked Baba tried to pry information from whomever he can get his hands on.
Eisuke could still see Mamoru standing outside of the hotel where the explosion happened.
"The concierge told me an old man had no sooner opened the door of a Maseratti when it exploded, Sir," Kenzaki informed him in an agitated voice.
Eisuke's mouth pressed in a thin line.
"I'll meet you at the Security Room, Sor." Eisuke addressed Soryu and to Kenzaki he said, "Have the PR defuse the situation. Tell the employees not to panic, and to make sure the guests know that the situation is now under control."
"We may get a lot of check-outs, Sir."
"We can do nothing about that, can we?"
Kenzaki nodded and left.
Eisuke then went back the elevator to the penthouse, which opened to reveal Satine holding a shirt and to his relief, his mobile phone. He immediately donned the shirt and pocketed the mobile she timidly held out.
"You. Stay with me," Eisuke said.
Satine nodded meekly.

FanfictionAll about Eisuke (set before S1Sequel) because I was told by an Eisuke fan I was being unfair to him ;) So okay, this is kind of a sequel of Conflicted (chopped the last five chapters off it, actually) Originally finished about April or May, 2015. (...
