"Satine."
I must be dreaming. There's just no way I'm hearing him this early in the morning.
"Get up, girl, I'm leaving in an hour."
I shot up from the bed and found myself face to face with him, my mouth dropping, my head throbbing a little painfully at the sight of him sitting on the side of the bed, dressed impeccably for work.
"It's half past six."
"It is?" I asked weakly, hands automatically shooting up to my messed-up hair.
"Make that coffee already."
I giggled at his ominous tone and stood up but before I could make a step he stopped me, holding me back until I was looking down at him.
Eisuke's brows furrowed, his other hand shooting up in my forehead and I flinched at once at the contact. "Wait. You have a fever."
Now that he said it, I did feel a little off. "I'm fine. I'll just take something for fever..."
He let go of me and fished out his phone. "It's me. I can't come in today, cancel my meetings--"
What? "Wait, what are you doing?"
He turned off his phone, and only then did I notice his hand still holding my arm. "You're sick."
I couldn't believe my ears. Was he going to stay just to take care of me? I stared at him, and knew it was so.
I tugged my arm out of his hold, went to the cabinet and took out a shirt and jeans, all the while saying, "I'm going down to see Miss Xindy, Sir, and you are going to work."
"You're sick, Satine," he repeated, still frowning.
"I won't die of fever, Sir," I left him and went to the bathroom to change.
"That's the dumbest comment I've ever heard," I heard him say and I stifled a laugh.
I smiled despite myself yet the simple task of dressing proved a challenge, I could feel the fever worsening, my limbs were starting to ache and my eyes were heating up.
"Satine, what's taking so long?" There was an urgency in his voice and I heard him step towards the bathroom.
Eisuke looked at my ashen face and clenched his teeth. "Go back to bed."
"And then what?"
"What do you mean what?"
"You'll take care of me?"
Eisuke exhaled at the bluntness of my question, then he smirked. "Why would I do that?"
"But you just cancelled your meetings."
"I do things without reason, surely you've already known about that," he said coldly.
Embarrassed, I said, "I'll be more sick if I stay in bed, Sir."
Eisuke seemed to debate on something, and then abruptly he said, "Wear a dress.
You're coming with me.""Really? Where?"
"I'm going to work after all." He checked on his wrist and added, "We'll get something to eat on the way."
"You just don't want to drink my coffee."
Eisuke smirked. "That, too."
***
"Not bad."
"Stop doing that, Sir."
"What?"
"If you think it looks good on me, just say so." She flipped her hair, the gesture so feminine and natural he found himself unable to take his eyes off her. "Anyway, I can't be seen looking like a waif when you're so gorgeously dressed."

FanfictionAll about Eisuke (set before S1Sequel) because I was told by an Eisuke fan I was being unfair to him ;) So okay, this is kind of a sequel of Conflicted (chopped the last five chapters off it, actually) Originally finished about April or May, 2015. (...
