I woke the next morning to my phone ringing loudly in my ear. I picked it up, and put it to my ear. "Hello?" I answered groggily.
"Dean, glad you're awake."
I sat up quickly, the phone pressed to my ear. "Seb, you finally called."
"Yeah," he said.
I looked at the clock beside my bed, and internally groaned. "Sebastian, it's half four. Why didn't you call me sooner?"
"I was freaked. I didn't know if you'd wanna talk."
"So, you call me at half four?"
"I just gathered the courage. I guess I didn't really think of the time."
"Well, unless it's an emergency, may I hang up and go back to sleep."
"It's an emergency."
"What?" I asked, suddenly worried.
"My emergency is that I didn't stay on our date yesterday. My emergency is that I might lose you."
"That's not an emergency, Sebastian." I feigned mad, but really, it made me smile.
"Losing you would be the biggest emergency in the world, Dean."
"You're cute." It was hard to stay mad at him.
"I'm coming over at seven. We need a proper talk about what happened yesterday."
"You know, I didn't mean it the way you took it."
"Dean, we'll talk tomorrow, okay?"
"Sure. Can I go back to sleep now?"
"Yeah. Sorry I woke you."
"Honestly, it doesn't matter. I'm just glad you still want to talk to me. Night, Seb."
"Night, Dean."
I hung the phone up, placed it back on the bedside table and lay back down, staring at the bright, white ceiling.

I sat at the small table in the hotel room, eating a bowl of cereal, while reading a book. When I was finished, I put my bowl in the sink, then sat down on my bed and grabbed my phone. I dialed Sebastian's number.
"Hey, Dean," He answered.
"It's gone seven, where are you?"
"Sorry, I fell asleep. I'm leaving now. What room are you in?"
"Twenty. See you soon."
"See ya."

A knock on the door brought me from the pages of my book. I stood up, and went to answer it. Sebastian was stood there, with a box of chocolates and a goofy grin across his face.
"Hey," he said.
"Seb." I grinned, wrapping my arms around him.
"I'm sorry about yesterday."
"Can you let me explain what I meant?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Come in." I led Sebastian to the sofa. "Do you want anything?"
"No, I'm alright."
"Okay."
I sat down beside him on the black leather sofa.
"Ready to listen?" I asked.
"I'm ready."
I explained exactly what was going through my head yesterday. It took a while for him to finally understand it had nothing to do with him being a boy, and everything to do with I'm not much for that level of PDA.
