I slid a shirt over my torso. Sebastian would be here in less than ten minutes, and I was freaking out. I knew the minute Lily and Jacob told me about the 'bet' I needed to confront Sebastian. I needed to know the truth.
I was sitting on my hotel bed when the door knocked, I stood up quickly to answer it.
"Hey, you!"
He grinned, trying to hug me. I ducked out of the way.
"Ouch. What's wrong?" He asked, eyebrows furrowed.
"Come in, and sit down."
He walked past me into the hotel room, I closed the door and followed him to the sofa.
"What's going on, Dean?"
"I need to ask you something, and I need you to be completely honest with me," I said, playing with my fingers, and avoiding eye contact with the boy opposite me.
"Okay?"
"Was this a bet?" I asked, signalling between us.
His eyes widened, clearly surprised by my question.
"Excuse me?"
"Tell me the truth, Sebastian."
"I- um," he started, running his hands over his face.
"Answer me!" I shouted, looking at him.
"Yes. At first."
It felt like my heart shattered. I turned my head away from him, and down to the floor. I didn't know what to say. I didn't even know what to do.
"Talk to me, Dean." His voice was quiet, it sounded almost scared.
"Why?" I asked, keeping my gaze on the floor.
"I always say that I could get anyone in the world to fall for me, so my friends bet that I couldn't get you to fall for me."
"So, I was nothing but a way of getting money?"
"No, it's not like that, Dean."
"What is it like then, Sebastian?!" I yelled, looking at him with tears sliding down my cheeks.
"It started off a bet, but I developed real feelings for you."
"Oh, that makes everything okay then," I snapped, wiping the tears from my face.
"No of course it doesn't, and I'm so sorry."
"Sorry doesn't cut it, Sebastian."
"Dean, please."
"Tell me something," I said.
"Anything."
"Did you take the money?"
"Yeah, but I can give it back to them! I'd give them all of my money for you."
"Get out. I never want to see you again."
"What?"
"Sebastian, get out!" I screamed, pointing at the door.
Tears filled Sebastian's eyes, and began pouring down his face.
"You have no right to cry, Sebastian. You did this!"
Sebastian stood up from the sofa. "Shut up."
"That's not going to work. Not this time. You took my heart, and ripped it in two. I gave my friends up for you!"
"Dean, please. Let's just talk about this reasonably?"
"I have nothing left to say to you, Sebastian."
