It was the day of mine and Seb's first date. I know it was technically our second date, but I kinda just wanted to put yesterday's date out of my mind, it didn't exactly go to plan. In fact, it went way off plan.
I patted my jeans pockets to make sure I had everything. Wallet, check. Key, check. Phone, check.
A knock on my front door brought me out of my thoughts of being nervous. I took a deep breath, staring at my reflection in the small mirror. I smiled at myself. Nervous as I was, I was ready. I walked to the front door and opened it. Sebastian was stood there clad in a red and black checkered top, with black jeans and black vans. He was breathtaking.
"Hey," he said, a large grin on his face.
"Hi."
"You ready?"
"Absolutely."
Sebastian held out his arm, which I took in my own. I followed him out of the room, closing the door behind me.
"So, where are you taking me?" I asked as we walked out of the large double doors of the hotel.
"It's a surprise."
"I like surprises."
"That's good."
Sebastian opened the doors to his car. I climbed into the passenger seat, and did up the seat belt. Sebastian did the same.

We weren't driving long before Sebastian came to a stop by the beach.
"Get out," Sebastian demanded.
I did as he said. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Close your eyes," he said.
"Excuse me?"
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes," I replied, furrowing my eyebrows.
Sebastian pulled out a scarf. "Close your eyes. You'll be safe with me, I promise."
I was nervous, and slightly scared, but I closed my eyes nonetheless. I felt the scarf wrap around my head, covering my already closed eyes.
"Can you see?" He asked.
"Nope."
"Good."
Sebastian took my hand in his and began guiding me, throwing instructions of when to step up or down.
We were walking for a good fifteen minutes before we came to a stop.
"Just stand here, don't move," Sebastian ordered.
I stood awkwardly, just waiting for Sebastian to tell me I could open my eyes, and show me what's happening.
Five minutes later Sebastian finally spoke. "Are you ready?"
"Ready for what?"
"To see what we'll be doing for this date."
"I'm ready," I said.
"Good. Keep your eyes closed until I tell you to open them."
"Okay."
Sebastian undid the scarf. "Okay, open them."
I did just that. If I thought seeing Sebastian in his date outfit was breathtaking, I didn't know how to describe my feeling for what was happening. Sebastian must have spent hours setting this up and ordering people away. He'd decorated a small part of the beach with fairy lights. In the middle of all the fairy lights was a picnic blanket, with a picnic set out on top.
