Third person POV

6 Years ago...

"Billy sweetie come on we're moving in with the Smiths and we're gonna be late" said Fiona, Billy's mom.
This last weekend Fiona had married a financially stable man Dave Smith. It was a small wedding so small that Billy wasn't even their, Dave had ordered Fiona to gather her belongings and move into his house as soon as possible.
So their they were unloading the small black Ford truck. Billy was terrified she's moving to a new place with new people and she doesn't even know what to think.
"Momma.. can I take Ruby with me" Billy had mumbled while tugging on her mother's coat. Ruby is Billy's most prized possession a bunny stuffed animal that was in her fathers car the night of his death.
Fiona gave her daughter a small smile and nodded her head. Fiona nelt next her her daughter and put her hands in both sides of her cheeks "Sweets I know your scared about this change but it's what we have to do right now and I promise everything will be okay in the future".
Her mother was telling the truth things will get better, but theirs always a storm before things can be okay.. and what Billy and her mom didn't know at the time was as soon as they stepped into that house Dave and his daughter Stella we're gonna change their life's forever.
