The fight isn't over yet

Ch 1 : Going home.

John's POV:

We all stood there in shock when she suddenly told us to follow her, we looked at her in shock but we followed her anyway. Me, Lorna, Marcos, Lauren, Andy, and Erg all followed Clarice. She opened up a portal and jumped through, and we followed her one by one. When we got there it looked like we were in a timeless void. It was dark but somehow it was lite up. We were all confused as to where we were.

"This is the dimension for breachers, they have powers that are related to mine," she said when she saw the look of confusion." While I was here Jason taught me how to use my powers to a greater extent," she continued waving over a tall blonde guy.

"Hey, I'm Jason, I'm the leader of the breachers, I've heard a lot about you guy, especially you," he said looking straight at me, "John right?" he asked me, I nodded my head, he held out his hand and said "Nice to meet you," I took his hand to shake it "Likewise" I replied shaking his hand.

He let go of my hand and turned to the rest of them, "There is something we need to discuss, we are willing to make an alliance to rebuild the mutant underground and eventually to build the mutant homeland we all dreamed about," he said looking at all of us. "We are willing to negotiate the terms shortly but not today, today we would like to show one of you around and introduce you to a few of the leaders," he said looking straight at Marcos.

Marcos nodded and they started walking away, I just stood there in my thoughts, all I could do was think about how much I've missed Clarisse, she looked so different but somehow she was still my Clarisse, I couldn't believe shes back, I thought I saw her die, but there she is standing in front of me.

Clarice POV:

After everything was explained to them and Marcos and Jason had left, I looked at John just standing there in his thoughts. I walked over to John, "Could we talk for a second," I said snapping him out of his thoughts." Any time" he said awkwardly looking at the ground. We both just stood there awkwardly looking at the ground for a few moments. When we finally made eye contact we both burst into tears, he immediately wrapped both of his arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug, I hugged him back as hard as I could, I just stood there in his arms crying into his neck after a while, my tears had already dried but still, I stood in his arms, After a while, he said "I missed you more than you could have ever imagined," he said in a voice filled with tears. "I missed you so so much, I wish I could have come back sooner, I'm so so sorry I should have come back sooner, please....," I started to reply but I was cut off by John. "No, No none of that matters now, all that matters now is that we're together, that's all that matters," he said pulling back to look into my eyes.

A few seconds later he pulled me close to him and kissed me passionately, of course, I kissed back. The kiss didn't last too long but was still one of the best kisses I have ever had. After we pulled back he pulled me into another hug and whispered " I love you," into my ear, " More than you could ever know," I replied.

Marcos POV:

I started walking back to my friends after the tour, I walked past Erg, Lauren, and Andy talking amongst themselves. I walk a little further to see Lorna watching Clarice and John standing in each other's arms. I walk up from behind her, I grab her waist from behind to hug her, she rested her head back to my chest and closes her eyes under my touch. "You jealous?" I asked her. She turned around in my arms to face me, " Never," she answered and pecked my lips. She once again turned around in my arms to look at Clarice and John again. " Hey love birds, ready to go," she called out witch got their attention. John simply nodded and took Clarisse's hand and started walking towards us. " Ready when you are," John said looking at Clarice. Right then she opened a portal and we all jumped through heading home.

We all got home safe and sound, "I'm gonna go hit the showers," I say turning to the rest for their response. "Already ahead of you there," John said to me with a grin. "Well I'm going to take Erg home first, then I'm going to get something to eat, Lorna wanna come along with me," Clarice said looking to Lorna. "Sure, why not," Lorna replied to Clarisse. "Okay see you guys later," I said softly looking at them. They both nodded at us and turned around, and started walking away from us. We both stood there looking at them in awe while they were walking away, after a few moments I snap out of my thoughts of awe and turn to look at John still staring at the now empty spot in awe of his thoughts of Clarice, I tap him on the shoulder snapping him out of his thoughts. I just give him a chuckle and start walking to my room.

I come back from getting dressed and start heading towards the kitchen. I walk past the Strucker's room and peek my head inside the entryway to see them playing monopoly and chuckling wholeheartedly, I walk into their room and go stand behind Andy putting my hand on his shoulder. "Oh yeah there Marcos, what's up," Lauren said from the other side of the table. "Not much, just wondering how you guys are holding up," I reply in my normal low voice. I could physically see them tensing up, it was still really an uncomfortable subject for them. "We're are okay, everything isn't perfect right now, I'm really happy Clarice is back and it is a little better now that she's back and everything is okay at this moment, not good but okay, and we will survive," she said looking at her children then back at me. "That's all that's important now right, see you in the morning okay," I said to them. They all nodded and watched me leave, before getting back to their game.

I get back on my way to the kitchen, when I finally get there all I see is Carice picking at her food with a fork, "Sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if you could tell me where Lorna is," I told her with a chuckle in my voice. She sarcastically rolled her eyes at me, " Your gonna pay for interrupting me with food someday, and to answer your question, you just missed her she said she's heading to your room," she answered me playfully. "Okay, thanks, and I promise no more interruptions," I said thanking her. She rolled her eyes at me again and then continued enjoying her food. I turn around and start heading to the door, I stop right before exiting and turn around. "Oh and Clarice I'm happy your back," I said to her smiling. She looked up from her food and smiled at me "It's good to be back," she replied. I turn around and start heading to my room. I get to my room and see Lorna already half-asleep in her spaghetti strap shirt and shorts, she looked so peaceful, there were not a lot of times that she looked so peaceful but at least when it happened it was so beautiful. I go to lay down next to her and she instinctively cuddled up to me, I pressed a kiss to her hare, at this moment everything was peaceful because at this moment everything was okay, we didn't have to worry about The inner circle, Sentinal Services or Purifiers. Clarisse is back, Lauren, Andy, and Kate seemed to be copping, and I finally had Lorna back in my arms, peacefully sleeping, all I needed now was Dawn, me and Lorna discussed it and decided to leave her with Lorna's aunt for now just till we make sure everything is fine and it is safe for her to return. My last thought before I fell asleep was how perfect Lorna still fit into my arms.
