Corrin: *sigh* That was quite a battle... But I hope this will all be over soon...
Ness: Hey, Corrin! You alright? *sigh* Damn, Dharkon's puppet fighters are a lot more violent and rough than when we fought Galeem's puppet fighters. Glad we took em out and we can take a moment to breath.
Corrin: Oh, Ness. Yes, I'm alright. Thank you for the concern. Just pretty tired right now that's all.
Ness: I feel you, dude. Those goons really be tough haha. As I said, glad it's over.
Corrin: Yeah... But I really hope all of this will be over once we defeat Galeem and Dharkon. When we defeat them, will everyone be free?
Ness: Of course, everyone will be saved once we defeat them.
Corrin: I'm glad to hear. Honestly, fighting those spirits feel pretty heart-aching... Especially, if I ever fight any of my siblings or my cousin...
Ness: Again, I really feel you... It wasn't easy at all when I fought my friends and family...
Corrin: Did you find Azura or any of my siblings, Ness?
Ness: Yeah, we fought and manage to free both your Hoshidan and Nohrian siblings and we manage to free Azura right before we rescued you and Kamui.
Corrin: *sigh* I'm relieved. Thank you, Ness. I'm just glad you guys saved my family.
Ness: I'm just glad your family is alright now.
Corrin: ...Ness, do you think we'll encounter...Anankos?
Ness: Anankos? You mean your father?
Corrin: Yeah...
Ness: Not sure if we'll find him to be honest. Why did you ask?
Corrin: *sigh* I was...hoping he could be out here...
Ness: But...didn't you and your family kill him? Although, we have encountered spirits of deceased people along the way.
Corrin: Of course, but just thinking that I murdered my father without knowing how caring and loving he was before he went insane and only finding out later on that I'm not actually blood-related to any of my Hoshidan siblings, but my true blood family being Lilith, my sister, Azura, my cousin, and my father...Anankos... It was a lot for me and everyone to take in, it wasn't easy to take in the fact that I am the son of the Silent Dragon, with Kamui being the daughter. But since he's our father, we felt remorse, we felt like...we could've done something to save him...
Ness: You and Kamui have been feeling that way and thinking about him since then?
Corrin: Ever since... Even after we became the rulers of Valla and brought peace to the three kingdoms, me, Lilith and Kamui can't help but feel sad that we didn't get to love our father... I've heard from Lilith that she only manage to feel love from Anankos when he took the hit for her when his draconic self was going to kill her. Despite all the sins my father had done when he went insane, he's still our father and we couldn't completely hate him. In fact, we couldn't hate him at all. Is it...wrong to feel remorse for someone who has caused so much trouble and damage to the point that he would've destroyed everything...?
Ness: It may depend on what kind of a person he is. But after learning more about Anankos, there's absolutely nothing wrong of feeling bad. Honestly, I also have a similar feeling with Giygas. Before defeating Giygas, I always thought he was nothing but pure evil and only thirsts for power and create massive destruction, I mean he was called the "Embodiment of Evil" and the "Universal Cosmic Destroyer". But when we fought him, the way he was...speaking to us... At first, it was creeping us out like he's definitely lost it. But from the words he spoke, he wouldn't say stuff that isn't like someone who's purely evil. We still defeated him in the end, but we can't help but feel there's something more about Giygas. Then some time after, when I learned from Ninten and heard some stories regarding Giygas before he invaded Earth, I felt bad... He was oppressed by his alien species when his adopted parents were gone and was forced to grow up as a merciless being. he was someone who needed love... After that, my thoughts about Giygas have changed drastically, I hope he's reunited with his parents.
Corrin: I hope the same thing. I feel sorry for him. He really deserves love. It may explain why he's defeated cause of the human emotions.
Ness: It is why. He felt pain and sadness, he was never loved again after his parents were gone and decided to lash out to the point after gaining so much power, he destroyed himself and lost his sanity. If there's one thing that both Giygas and Anankos have in common: they're the deadliest and most evil beings and all because of a tragedy that led them to become such an evil being.
Corrin: Isn't it the fact that we both have some kind of relation to them?
Ness: You can say that, but I'm nothing compared to you. I'm just the chosen one who will save the world from him, you...you're the son of the being that you need to stop. I may not completely understand how it feels to be related to someone who has fallen and become the most evil thing in the universe, but I can tell that it must be a very painful thing to take in and a heavy burden you, Lilith, and Kamui will have to carry till the day you all will pass... Corrin... I'm so sorry that you had to go through that...
Corrin: I appreciate your sincerity, Ness, but there's no need for you to apologize. While it still pains me to this day, there's no point to dwell on it anymore. And even though we may not encounter my father and reconcile each other, he's not gone because he lives on in our hearts, whether through memories or hearing stories of how good Anankos was before. I also have my family. Even though neither my Hoshidan nor Nohrian siblings are blood related, we still see each other like family and that's something that I am happy for after the war.
Ness: Well, I'm glad that things are turning out great for you and your world.
Corrin: Thanks... And...thank you for understanding what me and Kamui are feeling. You really are so much mature for your age, as if you're already an adult. I'm really glad that we talked and open up about my father. I'm really feeling better now.
Ness: I'm just a good friend who wants to give time to hear out and empathize with someone in need. I'm glad our chat helped you feel better. We all need to be strong if we are to defeat Galeem and Dharkon.
Corrin: Oh yeah. I completely forgot that we're in a middle of an adventure to stop them. Hahaha well, at least we took the time to not think about this situation for a while.
Ness: Now that you mentioned it, yeah. It helps us feel less stressful about this, considering how dire this situation is right now. However, hoping that your father is out there is all the more the reason we need to stop their petty fight.
Corrin: You're right. If he's being controlled by either of them, we can save him. It would feel as if I helped our father, something me and Kamui did not have the chance to when we finally faced him.
Ness: Yep! I know you and Kamui are really such a pacifist, but I'm glad that you guys understand that we must fight to save the world.
Corrin: If it means to end all of this madness, we'll fight to save everyone.
Ness: That is exactly what I'm thinking and what we'll exactly do.
