After getting dressed and putting on my snow boats, I grabbed a granola bar and got in the car. Even though I'm sixteen, I never took the drivers test. I guess I've just been so busy with dealing with my brothers passing and helping my mom that I never had time to think about driving or getting a car. So my grandma drove Finn and I up to school.

My grandma is my hero. Even when my mom is dealing with her depression, my grandma is always there to take care of all of us. She a very strong women and whenever life gets hard she always there to listen. She's so talented and is great at sewing, painting, and makes the best dumplings. She's helped our family so much through our troubles and I'm so greatful for her.

"Are you guys excited for school?" My Grandma asked.
"Yes! I'm so excited!" Finn said with a huge smile on his face. My brother has always been super outgoing and makes friends very easily. I wish I could be like that.

I needed to throw up. I was so nervous.
"Alisa? Are you okay? You seem nervous." My grandma asked with a worried look on her face.
"Yeah I'm just nervous about making friends and not knowing anyone that's all."
"It's okay honey. I know it can be scary going to a new school, but you'll start to get used to the place after a while"
"Thanks Grandma." I said with a forced smile. I hope she's right.
