Ellie startles awake from a short slumber, the lack of presence next to her likely what disturbed her. When she'd dozed off you were next to her, running your fingers through her hair and speaking softly about your plans when you returned to Jackson. Ellie was gradually warming up to the idea of staying in Joel's old home per your idea, it seemed like the right thing to do.

It was better than letting someone else get put there and replacing his memories with their own.

She's not sure how she fell asleep in the projection room, - she only remembers you stitching up a wound on her arm in said room - she's not even sure what time it is anymore. Still, she grabs her own bag from the floor, retrieves her switchblade and pistols and sets off towards the door; however, a note taped to the door stops her from proceeding.

She sighs, it's clearly your handwriting. With a grumpy sigh she pulls the paper away from the door, scanning the words written by you.

Folding the paper, she tucks it away in her back pocket for safekeeping and pushes out into the little hallway to the stairs. "Y/N?" She calls, voice thick with sleep and hoarse. She looks around the room for any signs of you, quickly noting that both your bag and weapons are nowhere to be found. She can hear Sully from the lobby of the hotel barking away, the sound of Dina laughing following it. But no sounds of yours.

Upon arriving down the stairs she takes notice of Dina and your furry companion, brows furrowed in thought. "Hey, Y/N still outside?" She questions, earning a nod from the girl across from her. She nods, gesturing for Dina to follow her to the door. "Hey big guy." She greets Sully, even though the dog hasn't quite taken to her yet. When she tried to kiss Y/N some hours before, he growled at her.

Just as Ellie slips out of the theater to the coverage from the rain, Dina's head peaks out to her. "Be safe, tell Y/N I'll make sure Sully stays inside."

Ellie only nods in response, saying a farewell to Dina before setting off into the rain to find you. It only takes a moment, as you're only a few feet away, sitting in the passenger seat of an old car with the door open. She notices, though you try to hide it upon seeing her coming your way, you taking old aspirin or something of the sort.
