The Queen Is Not Dead (cringe but ppl like it so it's here)

Chapter 9

Glory found him, taking a stroll in a secluded part of the rainforest, with a sad look on his face. Glory realized that that was the meadow where Deathbringer 'buried her'. Lavender attended the burial, of course. Glory searched around for a place she could get closer... There.

In a tree, right above him. The perfect place to camouflage and perch. Glory turned herself invisible and flew, landing soundlessly. She saw that Deathbringer was staring down at the ground at her 'grave', with tears spilling from his eyes. There was a rock, with words carved in it. "Here lies Queen Glory, unique and powerful in the uniting of two tribes."

Glory wanted so much to comfort him, so much to just fly up to him, show him that she was alive, put her wing around Deathbringer and tell him that it was never his fault.

Glory heard him mutter something to himself.

"My last mission. And I failed. A failed Assassin. That's all I am. I couldn't even protect the one I love."

Glory couldn't say anything to him but...

She could hum... (There used to be a different A/N here, but I changed it to humming, so here's the tune that she hummed.

Glory was humming, and Deathbringer looked around to see where it was from. In truth, he was sure that he was hearing things... but that encounter with Wren taught him not to assume everything is in the ordinary...

Glory was actually standing right in front of Deathbringer, as she decided that that would be the best spot. After a short while, he began to pick up on the tune, and hummed along, a ghost of a smile on his face.

When she was finished, however, she stayed in her tree, until Deathbringer went away, sometimes lingering even longer.

This happened night after night, different song after song, and every night Deathbringer will go home a little confused and sad, with a small hope that this was all just a dream. Day after day, Lavender would return to the rainforest, pretending that everything was normal, that she was fine.

This went on for around 2 years.

Yeah... I really wanted to get this Chapter In ASAP, but yeah. So... ya happy now?
