"Begone you foul, Dragon Witch!" Roman shouted, brandishing his sword at the dragon who was waiting to cast their magic at him. Earlier this morning Roman had went into the imagination since a messenger from his village said the dragon witch was back and stronger than ever. They had been attacking the crops and a few the houses on the outskirts so Roman knew he needed to take care of it. He couldn't leave his village unprotected. That wouldn't be him being a good prince.

The Dragon Witch let out a loud roar causing everything in the nearby area to shake. Roman kept his footing and stared bravely up at the massive dragon witch that towered over him. He had fought them before and he would do it again. He ran up past their side so he was on their blind spot and slashed his sword at the Dragon Witch. It penetrated their scales and black blood dripped out of the cut.

This angered the Dragon Witch who swung around and tried to shoot a ball of energy at him using her magic. Thankfully Roman dodged it just in time with a swift roll to the side. "Get away from my people and I will not have to slay you!" This didn't deter the Dragon Witch though, it only seemed to fire them up even more. They let out another roar and slashed at Roman with their claws, which he carefully dodged again and left another large gash in their side.

The beast was mad and only getting madder as they swung their tail around to try and knock Roman off of his feet, but Roman was agile enough to avoid it each and every time. It's good they were fighting in an open field compared to one of the cliffs, because that would make this situation oh so much harder. Roman launched forward ad the Dragon Witch's tail wept by again and leaped onto their back, climbing towards the head. Underneath him the Dragon Witch thrashed violently in an attempt to get him off, but he clung on with every ounce of strength he had.

When he finally reached her head he pulled out his sword and went to stab her in the eyes, except suddenly the sword was gone. He looked below him to see that although the Dragon Witch had settled that was just because they were preparing a spell. His weapon was gone. Quickly Roman tried to summon one of his backups, but by the time he had it the Dragon Witch had finally gotten him off of them. This was not good. He fell with an oof to the soft grass below, making sure to keep hold of his sword the whole time.

He wasn't able to get up in time before the Dragon Witch used this opportunity to try and bit him with their fangs. These held a lethal poison that he had gotten hit with and asked Logan for the antidote one to many times. Quickly he rolled from side to side, narrowly avoiding the sharp pointed teeth that could crush him in an instant. He got an opportunity to stab them in the face and, obviously, he took it. The sword landed right in their eye and they roared in pain.

They snapped forward, finally landing a blow on Roman as one of their teeth, but not their fangs, bit into Roman's leg swiftly tearing through skin and reaching bone. Roman screamed in pain and stabbed the Dragon Witch in the other eye before rolling over to under their neck. They didn't know this of course considering the fact that they were basically blind so he was able to stab them in the neck, cutting off their windpipe and killing them rather easily.

He would deal with the body later, but for right now helping his leg was the most pressing matter. It felt like it was on fire and Roman knew there was no way he was going to be able to stand, so he sunk out to the mindpalace. "Logan!" he called, hoping the logical side who knew a ton about how to treat injuries could help him, but he didn't appear. He looked around before realizing that Logan, Patton, Virgil, and Janus were all in the real world with Thomas at the moment, and there was no way in hell that Remus would help him, so he summoned some bandages and fought through the pain and started wrapping it as best he could.

It should be fine, since he had done this before.

Three days later and it was definitely not fine. The skin was swelling and his whole leg was in a lot of pain, but he was hiding it and making sure to clean it and bandage it properly. Maybe he would ask Logan about it tomorrow if it continued to get worse, but for now he had to go down and eat breakfast. Patton had come up to wake him up earlier telling him to come downstairs with the promise of Patton-cakes so that's what he did. He snapped into his prince outfit and tried to hide the limp in his leg as he walked towards the stairs.

He could see that everyone else was already downstairs around the table waiting for him. He took one step down the stairs before he went tumbling. His injured leg lost his balance and he had taken a tumble. He hit his head on the floor at the bottom and got knocked out. To say the other sides weren't concerned was a total lie. They were very concerned.

When Roman woke up again he was laying on the couch with the other sides around him. His head was throbbing from when he fell, but the pain in his leg was even worse. Everyone was huddled around him in a circle except for Logan who seemed to be looking at his injured leg. "Roman, would you care to explain what this is what this is and why its infected and swelling?" Roman knew there was no escape from this, but he still would try nevertheless.

"Oh, yeah, I got it in the imagination yesterday while fighting the Dragon Witch again," he lied, but then proceeded to realize Janus was in the room and he would never get away with it. Sure enough, the snake-like side turned to him, his eyes narrowing as he could feel the lie in the air.

"Lies, Roman. You didn't go to the imagination yesterday," Janus turned to Logan. "I recommend you start properly treating that considering this buffoon did a terrific job." Janus then stepped back and watched the expression on Roman's face go from calm with pain, to shock with pain, to kind of pouting with pain. Obviously the pain part of it being his leg.

So then Roman sat there as Logan asked an assortment of questions which he answered truthfully for he didn't want the human lie detector exposing him again. Some examples of questions were: when did this happen (three days ago), why didn't you tell me so I could help you (because you were busy talking to Thomas), and why didn't you just summon me (because I didn't want to bother you). Logan wasn't a large fan of these responses, but fixed up his leg.

Soon enough he sat up to see that his leg was all bandaged up nicely. Logan gave him some pain killers then told him he wasn't allowed to use that leg for the next couple of weeks so it healed properly. He was also supposed to check in with Logan every other day so Logan could make sure it was healing properly. Lastly, Logan reassured him that it was fine if he interrupted a discussion with Thomas if he was injured badly.

So, they carried him over to the breakfast and finally got to eat Patton-cakes. Sure enough, Roman followed Logan's instructions and within three weeks he was back to normal. He could walk on it without any pain. Though Patton made him tell them, or at least leave a note, if he left for the imagination for the month after. It wasn't to bad in Roman's opinion. They were just trying to protect a member of their fam-ILY and he loved them for it.
