I wasn't enough.

Chapter 15

David's POV

I wake up and check the time. It's 10:30am and I notice my wife in not in bed next to me. Still looking at my phone I see I have three missed calls and two unread text messages from Emily. Emily's messages basically said the same thing...

where are you?

I've already told her where I am, I don't understand why she doesn't know where I am but I text her back anyway. Immediately she texts me back saying;

Come see me? xxx

I saw you yesterday? xxx

I miss you :( xxx

Fine. But I won't  be there long I have things to do... see you in hour xxx

YAY! See you babe xxx

I put my phone back on the bedside drawer then walk over to the closet, pulling out a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt. I rummage through my sock and underwear draw pulling some of those out too and then walk into the bathroom to take a shower. "Honey?" Lucy calls "Yeah" I call back "What are you doing?" "Uh just about to jump in the shower" I reply "Oh Okay" Lucy says and then I turn the shower on. After a few minutes I hop out and get dressed. I walk into the bedroom to see Lucy putting away folded clothes. I smile. She's  such a lovely wife and I can't  believe she thinks I'm the perfect husband. "Hey honey, I have a few errands to run and check up on the restaurant. Are you planning on doing anything today?" "Uh yeah, Amber is coming to pick me up and we're going to go shopping. Then I'm going over to her house to have dinner with her and her family, I probably won't be back until 9pm" she smiled "Oh okay, I'll  see you then" I replied walking over to her and kissing her cheek.

I pull up to the restaurant and walk inside greeting all my coworkers, the place looks great. I walk into the kitchen and check all of the meals, today is evaluation day for my employees. Walking around the kit hen I take down notes and then individually assess each worker by just watching how they work. By the time I have finished this evaluation it is 11:30am and I'm starting to get hungry so I ask Mike to whip me up a little something. Within seconds I down it along with a coke I grabbed from the fridge. Thanking Mike for the meal I leave and make my way to Emily's.

I stayed at Emily's for two hours and then drove to the local Catholic Church. I walk into the 'confession room' and take a seat. "Forgive me father for I have sinned" I say with a croaking voice "And what are these sins you need to confess?" The preist/father replied "I.... I am having an affair with another woman and I'm married. I'm afraid that I'm going to ruin my marriage" I feel terrible for what I'm doing to Lucy but I can't help it.

Sorry for this short chapter. Chapter 16 will be a time skip to Monday. Sorry if any of you are Catholic I mean no offense by this chapter. To be honest I don't really like this chapter but I hope to make chapter 16 better.
