I wake up to the smell of bacon.

It's 8:26am and my stomach is rumbling.

I make my way downstairs, dressing gown and slippers quickly shoved on.

My eyes wander and land on a handsome, masculine figure. My husband. He stands rattling a pan in one hand and a spatula in the other. His hair dishevelled and upper body bare. Such a pleasant site, so early in the morning.

"Good Morning Beautiful, you should've stayed in bed. I was just about to bring it up to you" David says just as he places a kiss on my cheek.

"Oh no, it's fine. I was ready to get up anyway" I reply.

"Oh well good! Are you ready for today?"

"What's happening today? " I ask curiously.

"Just a romantic day I planned for us, my love"

"What? Hon, you don't have to we went out last- "

"I want to" he says cutting me off.

I feel a wave of heat flood my cheeks, he's so romantic.

"I love you so much, you know that? You are the best husband any woman could ask for" I say before rustling his hair.

He just smiles and gives me a peck on the lips. What a tease.

We eat breakfast and enjoy each other's company. Quickly doing the dishes, we rush back upstairs.

Both wanting a shower, we decide to have one together. Saving water and time. Lets just say the steam didn't just come from the hot water.

Throwing our clothes on, we make our way to the car and I can't help but smile. I love him with all my heart.

We arrive at China town and to my surprise there is a festival on. What warms my heart, is the fact that the festival is celebrating love. Couples were everywhere. I love it.

Walking down the street, there are beautiful paintings and antics as far as the eye can see.

A beautiful chinese women, wearing an amazing red and gold cheongsam, give David an I a big bouquet of roses and a small scroll with some chinese characters on it. The title in english reading "Love".

Shortly after that encounter, a parade makes it way down the street. Women in beautiful chinese gowns with their husbands fill the street. How lovely.

An hour into our date, David's phone starts ringing.

David's POV

"Sorry hon, I've gotta take this" I say as I pick up my cell phone to answer it.

She just nods in acknowledgement and walks around looking at things.

"I told you not to call me today!" I angrily mumble into the phone.

"I'm sorry. But I just needed to hear your voice" a sweet voice replied.

"Emily, I can't talk right now I'm out with my wife and-"

"You're out with your wife? What about me? why don't you take me out?" She whimpers, a sad tone in her voice.

"Babe, you know I can't just take you out with Lucy wondering where I am, I have to say I'm at work or at a meeting so she doesn't find out."

"So tell her you have to go to work so you can come see me"

"It's not that simple" I tell her.
