Did I post a chapter today already? I can't remember. Oh well, here's one
Before they went in, Chiron stepped into what looked to be a magical wheelchair that his horsely hindquarters and wheeled into the big house.
They walked into a livingroom and sat down. Percy glanced up and saw a mounted live cheetah head above the mantle, asleep.
"So, when did you discover she was missing?" Chiron asked.
"This morning. Her tent was empty. Gone without a trace. She left behind her weapons and supplies." Pheobe said.
"And other than that, what makes you think she didn't just go to olympus? Or had a place to go to urgently?" Chiron asked.
"She would never leave the hunt without informing me or my colleague. Apollo has helped us search for her with no signs of success." Pheobe said.
"And..." Pheobe said reluctantly, glancing at the two girls present, "My colleague had a vision last night."
Chiron glanced at Percy.
"I see. And might I ask, who is your colleague?" Chiron asked.
Percy froze.
He wasn't supposed to reveal his identity to anyone. Even any of the Olympians or Chiron.
He glanced at Pheobe and she seemed to send him a silent message.
'You do whatever you think is right.'
He slowly lifted his hand to his hood, his hands shaking.
He slowly pulled it down and met Chiron's eyes. The two girls gasped.
"I am Perseus Jackson. Son of Artemis." He said sternly.
Everyone was silent, staring at him. Thalia and Annabeth exchanged a nervous look.
"But...how is that possible? Artemis is a maiden goddess...she doesn't have any children." Annabeth said.
"She took me in when I was a baby. My real mother was killed. I never knew my father. Artemis raised me as her own." Percy said.
"So you aren't really a son of Artemis then." Thalia said.
"Artemis is my mother!" Percy snapped making everyone flinch, "She took me in when I had no one else!"
"I'm sorry...I just meant she didn't break her oath." Thalia said. She studied Percy for a moment.
"Wait a minute. I recognize you. You were there when Annabeth disappeared. You jumped infront of Nico when the Manticore attacked." Thalia said. Percy nodded.
"Why do you hide your face?" She asked.
"Artemis doesn't wish people to know of my existence. She doesn't wish for people to know there is a boy amongst the hunt." Percy said coldly, "And I would appreciate if you kept my existence a secret."
"Are you a half-blood?" Annabeth asked.
"I...my mother told me my father was mortal..." Percy said, "But Apollo believes he wasn't."
Pheobe glanced at Percy nervously.
"I do sense a powerful aura around you Perseus. I can't say which of the gods is your father, but it must be one of the Olympians." Chiron said.
"Why would Artemis lie about that?" Annabeth asked.
"My mother didn't lie to me!" Percy snapped, once again making everyone flinch. His face fell.
