How Dare You

Matthew grumbles as he watches Shawn flip his girlfriend onto a bed. Why he decided to show up is still a mystery to even him. Watching your girlfriend be pinned to several objects for the illusion of sex by the guy whom he was told not to worry about didn't give him the warm and fuzzies.

He watches as they laugh about a joke he doesn't understand. The feeling of inadequacy coming back full force. He watches as Camila seemingly flirts with Shawn and it makes his blood boil. Ever since they had been working on the song Camila has been distancing herself from him.

Shawn walks off of the set blushing and complaining about the number of cameras. Matthew sneakily follows him.

Shawn sits in his dressing room getting changed into his next outfit. Ask he puts on his shirt Matthew comes in. Shawn says " Hey Matthew, what's up?" Matthew says " Hi, I just wanted to say back off, I told you to keep away from Camila, you can't seem to listen to anything I say, so maybe I should tell you differently". Matthew gets in an offensive stance and Shawn stands up, towering over him.

Just then Camila walks in and says "Yayyy! My two favorite boys are talking, I was worried you guys didn't like each other. But you guys seem like you are having fun!" Shawn smiles at Camila while Matthew rolls his eyes at her.

Camila goes and hugs Shawn and stays there, wrapped up in his arms. Shawn leans down to whisper something in her ear and she giggles, which sends Matthew into a fury.

He says " If you like Shawn so much why don't you just leave me for him. Seems like you are going to do it anyway. You always talked about him like he was your boyfriend, not me. You haven't done anything with me since you guys started talking-" Shawn interrupts and says "I'm just gonna go" Both Matthew and Camila glare at him so he just sits down on the couch.

Matthew continues saying "You came up with this concept, was this your way of testing out if you want to leave me or not?" Camila says "So what why would Shawn even like me anymore, I turned him down for you. He has probably moved on." "Why don't you ask him? Shawn have you moved on from your crush on Camila" Shawn gulps and says " Yes, but I do not understand why I cannot leave, Mila I love you like a sister, I don't have those feelings anymore. So can I please leave now, even though this so my dressing room."

Matthew says "sure. Just stay away from her like I said to" Camila turns red " So this is why Shawn has been avoiding me, you told him to, I thought I did something wrong. You mean to tell me that out of misplaced jealousy you made my closest friend in this horrible industry start distancing himself from me." "Yes, he could lie about it and steal you from me" This enraged Shawn so be said " Number one, Camila is a person, not a possession, she cannot be stolen. Number two, Camila is incredibly loyal, almost to a fault, so you should never worry about that. And third, you told me that Camila told you to tell me to keep a distance. She is always misplacing her phone so I assumed it was a message from her relayed through you, why would you ever do that to her?" Matthew says "Because I don't want to marry a slut".

Shawn lunges towards him to attack but Camila pulls him back and makes him sit on the couch. Camila then turns to Matthew and yells," well you don't have to worry about that anymore because we are over. If I ever see your disgusting face again I will not hold Shawn back. Now get out!"

Matthew looks shocked and says " You don't mean that. You love me, we were planning our future together, I was so excited to be able to take you away from working, so we could have a family".

Camila looks at him like he is insane "Matthew, I don't want that you do, and if you don't leave within the next minute I will have Shawn escort you out in front of everyone"

Matthew collapsed at her feet and begged her to take him back. Camila looked to Shawn who throws Matthew over his shoulder and starts walking out.

He passes everyone on the way out and gives them a look that says 'ill explain later'. He puts him down outside and says " If you ever try to contact her in any way you will be beaten up. I know about your cheating and pedophilia, as well as your scamming, I can easily get you arrested within minutes. Don't mess with either of us."

He walks back onto the set and sees Camila, he automatically hugs her. Sinu comes up to them and asks " What happened?" Camila looks at her and says "I just dumped Matthew after he called me a slut" "I will go kill that man no one will ever say that to my daughter"

Shawn holds her back and says " I already threatened him if he does anything again his livelihood is gone."

Shawn and Camila finish the song with only the slightest bit of awkwardness. Then Shawn has to go back on tour.

Today is the day of the VMA's Shawn and Camila have been nominated for 5 VMA's for Senorita. They are not dating (yet) but the public seems to be in consensus that they need to be together. 

They are seated together in the front row. with Taylor Swift behind them. 

They sit in their seats waiting for the Show to start. 

James Corden walks on stage and waves to everyone "Hello everyone and welcome to the 2020 VMA's!! There are so many exciting things happening tonight. Shawn and Camila are going to perform maybe even kiss!" 

The camera pans over to Shawn and Camila who are shaking their heads. Taylor, Bebe Rexha, Halsey, and the Jonas Brothers start chanting "Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss!" Over and over again. Shawn and Camila look at each other and laugh. Taylor takes the chance with the fact that they are looking at each other to push their heads together and make them kiss. Taylor holds them there for a full minute and then lets them separate. 

They look at each other and laugh again. James says "My Life is complete I saw Shawmila kiss, I can die happily now." Shawn and Camila have looks on their faces that say "ok Weirdo". James continues by saying "Tonight will be very exciting! Shawn and Camila are going to perform Senorita for the first time, Taylor Swift is performing, Normani is going to light up the floor with her new song Motivation. You also never know what might happen." 

Right after he says that a certain person by the name of Matthew Hussey runs on stage and steals a microphone he says "I knew you two had a thing for each other and that's why you dumped me!" Camila says "Or it could be because you are a classless dick, who never drinks his respect women juice" 

Shawn looks to Camila asking permission to complete his promise, Camila nods and Shawn walks onto the stage and drags him off, all the way backstage. Shawn locks Matthew in his dressing room, which locks from the outside, and walks back to Camila. As he walks in everyone gives him a questioning look he shrugs and sits down next to Camila. He whispers "He won't bug us now hopefully". 

The show continues on and It's finally Shawn and Camila's nomination. James says "The nominees are Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello " Senorita", BTS (featuring Halsey) – "Boy with Luv", Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper – "Shallow", Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus) — "Old Town Road (Remix)", Ed Sheeran and Justin Beiber – "I Don't Care ", and Taylor Swift (featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco) – "Me!"; And the winner is Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello! Senorita." 

Shawn starts the speech by saying "Thank You all so much, we worked so hard on this song and we are so happy you love it." Camila continues by saying " Yeah what he said! Thank you, thanks to our teams, our families, We love you all. Get wasted." Shawn laughs and they walk off stage.
