Forget You

Shawn sits in the studio with Scott and Teddy, he finished his latest song 3 days ago, and now production is finished and he is debating how to show Camila the song. He is saying that he should just say it over facetime or text. But Scott and Teddy are saying that it would be better in person. But Shawn refuses to listen and FaceTimes Camila and waits for her to pick up.

Camila picks up and Shawn smiles and says "Hey Hun! How are you?" "I'm geat, I met this guy and he is so nice to me, I don't know if it will be really serious but I have never felt this way about anyone else before" Shawn feels his heartbreak and quickly puts a fake smile on and says"I'm so happy for you, If he ever does anything I will break him. I don't care what it is if he hurts you in any way he will no longer be on this earth okay?"

Camila smiles and says "Like always, the only reason I have never had a real boyfriend." Shawn smiles sadly and Camila says "So why did you call me?" Shawn gulps and says "I was going to show you a song but thinking about it there are a bunch of things that need to be fixed before I show anyone." "Oh. Ok." "Why don't you tell me about this guy so I can know his weaknesses" Camila shakes her head and says "His name is Matthew Hussey he is a Dating Coach and he is 31 years old, he is kind and caring and very passionate about what he does. He makes me feel like I am the most beautiful girl in the world and he actually has a desire for me which no one has ever told me, He sais he has been a fan of mine for years like since Fifth Harmony"

Shawn types furiously and looks up everything he can about the man he says "Mila do you know that he has had many people claim to have been scammed by him and he also has cheated on any girl he got with, as well he is a pedophile" "WHAT!!??!" "He is dating a 17-year-old at the same time as whatever you guys are doing." "You are lying" "Why would I lie?" "Because you might still have a crush on me. I don't know you might be jealous or something"

Shawn looks at her with hurt in his eyes and says "You know for a fact that I am over that crush and you are like my little big sister, all I am doing is looking out for you" "Well can you stop it" "Stop what? Making sure you are safe?" "Just stop being a burden"

Shawn stops talking and is holding back tears, Camila looks at him and says "Shawn I didn't mean that I was just upset" "Camila I know you well enough to know that when you get upset you get truthful, I'll stop being such a burden, you won't have to worry about hearing from me ever again" "Wait! Shawn, you really want to stop being friends?" " I don't but it seems like I am too much of an overbearing annoying burden to be a good friend. Will I be sad, absolutely but if it makes you feel better to not have an extra burden that's all I want for you to be happy."

"Do you really want to?" "No, but it is for the best if I am a burden now I will always be a burden I would rather be a burden for 3 years rather than however long our friendship would last. I'll miss you Mila, See you in another life." Shawn hangs up and breaks down crying. Scott and Teddy come and try to cheer him up he says "I'm going to head home guys. I'll see you next time I write" He gives them both hugs and walks to the car and goes home.

Shawn sits on the couch and looks through his phone he finds a photo from the day they met and looks sadly at it he deletes Camilas contact out of his phone and decides that he is going to change his phone number when he gets back to Toronto. He looks back at their texts and sees all of the ways he burdened her with his problems and how she would probably be better off not being friends with him and she will be happier than before.

Shawn goes to Instagram next and unfollows her, but before he does he looks at her latest post that has a picture of her staring into the camera with a caption "You Are Not A Burden". He knows the message is meant for him but he knows her better than that, she always tells the truth no matter what especially when she is upset. She meant what she said, which somehow hurts the most. He hits the block button as well and does it on all platforms. He knows people will ask questions but at this moment he really does not care.
