It was a very very long Time ago.
The Deity known as Time had been granted his own Multiverse. He formed it around Time, and Time Manipulation, and spawned his first creation outside of Undertale and Quantumtale, which was a being known as Lapse. His purpose was unknown, and Time loved him dearly.
Time showed Lapse all of Quantumtale and Undertale, but he could see Lapse's loneliness. Time vowed to make a friend, and looked around at his fellows multiverses, finding inspiration in the guardian called Ink, but deciding to change Ink to fit the world Time was creating.
Boots, long pants, a belt covered in ink vials, a skin tight black shirt, a blue jacket, and a brown to rainbow scarf.
But this Ink was a TK just like all the other major players will be.
Time decided to leave the name up to Lapse, stating the rest of the omniverse would define him as Ink, but that Time desired Lapse to name the new friend based on something important.
Then it happened. The friend, the new TK was nearly killed due to his own mistake. The world seemed to go from the TK dying to Lapse healing the TK.
Lapse and the newly-named Imprint explained what happened.
Lapse's name had a double meaning. It indicated a passage of time, but another definition also stated Lapse meant to bring things to an end or a stop. And that was Lapse's brand new power.
He had halted time while Imprint was falling, healed and brought Imprint down to the floor, and undid that all while Time dressed as QuantumTale Gaster was frozen in place by Lapse's power.
Time decided he would preemptively lock Lapse's code to TimeVerse, fearing that Lapse's power would draw the other Deities to him.
Time was, unfortunately, right. But not for the reason he thought. He thought Lapse's power would draw them, but Fate and Destiny's mismanagement of their multiverse brought their attention to Lapse first.
The Higher Deities may have approved of a transfer for a Destroyer for Fate and Destiny, but they did not approve the two to take a locked down Sans, and they wouldn't have approved of the treatment Fate and Destiny allowed the Destroyer to come to.
Time had been upset when Lapse was taken through the Void, but ultimately could do nothing but help his child, Imprint, but bring other TK's into the world to comfort Imprint. But Time never recovered from the loss of his first loved Child.
But one day, Imprint brought news. He'd been in contact with another Ink, who has an unfamiliar Destroyer.
Time was able to see a video of the unfamiliar Destroyer, and surprise and shock and sadness and relief and anger all pulsed through the Deity.
It was indeed his missing child, Lapse, but Lapse went by a new and tragic name. Error.
Error stumbles back to the couch, sitting down hard as Time sips his cup of tea after finishing this part of the story.
"Is th3r3 m0r3?"
"Yes."
After Time discovered that Lapse had become the Destroyer for Fate and Destiny, he was blamed by Fate and Destiny for corrupting their favored child. While this was happening, Imprint was planning on a rescue attempt and the Ink of Fate and Destiny was deciding to end the multiverse of his home.
Time revealed that he had locked Lapse's home multiverse, so Fate and Destiny had broken one rule.
Time sips his drink again, looking at Error.
"If you are willing to testify before the Higher Deities regarding the treatment you suffered, that would prove a second rule broken, and Fate and Destiny would lose their multiverse." Error sits on the couch, quietly going over all the information.
Not only was he a forced destroyer, but he was taken from his home and family, forgot his name, and he worried his father. And the Deities broke the rules when they took Error.
"Wait..."
"Hm?"
Error ignores Time's words, opening his information again.
*TK!???
*ATK 10 DEF 10 HP 20
*Previously was a Forced God Of Destruction and before that was Lapse of TimeVerse
*(List of Phobias and Mental Disorders from before)
*Desires a second chance to be a kid.
*Free from Destiny and Fate.
*No longer Error or Lapse. ??? is all that's left.
"What's the matter?"
"My stats ar3n't glitching anym0r3...and...my nam3 is unkn0wn n0w? I'm fr33 fr0m Fat3 and D3stiny...and I'm n0t 3rr0r 0r Laps3? I..." Time remains quiet, before Error sighs.
"I'v3 g0t a h3adach3 right n0w. I n33d t0 lay d0wn right n0w." Time nods, standing up and showing Error to a bedroom, leaving Error alone in the room, and heading to the meeting room where the rest of the main TKs were sitting around, Imprint smiling.
"So?"
"It is indeed him, but he doesn't have the memories of his time. His stats are wonky, according to him. It appears he's completely free from Fate and Destiny, and he's no longer his old name, but other than that. He is going to need a long time to heal and desensitize from the trauma he experienced."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You all failed." All the higher Deities look down at the Highest One's words.
"Void, you allowed Fate and Destiny to kidnap a locked-down Sans from a multiverse and torment him for fun and berate him for the job they enlisted him to do."
"Order, you voted to protect the future destroyer, but you should have kept an eye on who they picked."
"Nyx, why'd you vote? A destroyer only helps Phobos, Deimos, Void, and Chaos. Order and Night gain nothing from a destroyer."
"Phobos and Deimos, surely you both could feel The Destroyer's fear and terror. Surely you could understand the toxicity. Do you have no shame?" The Highest One turns to Chaos, signing softly.
"I suppose nothing I say could make you understand the gravity of this situation, huh?" Chaos chuckles softly, gazing at the Highest Deity, Change.
"Sorry Change, but I don't care either way. Lapse being forced created chaos, and then Error being freed created chaos. I will do whatever produces the most chaos, Change, you can't change that part of me."
(1034 words.
I was going to make it a shorter chapter but ultimately decided to add in some extra stuff.
