Starting life in a New School: a Re:Zero fanfic

Two

The School was a large building. At least four floors, Subaru reckoned. The roof was exposed, with a fence around the top. A beast human in with Cat ears and a blue dress stared down at them, with what appeared to be a huge smile on their face. Subaru uneasily looked to Emilia
"Um.. Mili, who's that girl staring at me?" He said pointing up.
Emilia laughed "That's a boy, Subaru. His name is Felix. Don't worry about him, he just likes to put his own twist on life"
Subaru wondered how somebody puts a twist on life. Seemingly impossible. But he disregarded it, because School did have a reputation for being boring.

They walked up the many flights of stairs. "They need an elevator" Subaru remarked. No school he'd ever been to had an elevator, but at the same time, he'd only ever been to one school, besides this one. His legs ached. He was pretty lazy.

Emilia turned to him "Come on, Subaru. It isn't that bad!" She remarked. Subaru smiled back, with his reserved smile he only gave to the people he really cares about. And with that, the door swung open and Emilia was greeted by two girls. They looked very similar, one with blue hair and one with pink hair. They were holding hands, and they were both around the same height. Subaru guessed about 5 feet and 1 inch. Behind those two, there was a taller girl. She had a much more voluptuous figure, and looked older than the two girls and Mili, as a matter of fact. The taller girl grinned through spiked teeth, which insinuated she was a beast human.

Feeling nervous, yet somewhat proud to be alive, Subaru straightened his back. Emilia turned to him, as if waiting for him to say something. In truth, Subaru was going to say something, but his nerves wouldn't let him speak. The tall girl laughed, her blonde hair swishing with her head movement. Emilia shot her an annoyed stare, before opening her mouth to say "This is Subaru. He's new. At the moment, he's living with me, and he's really nice!" She said, almost enthusiastically.
The tall girls expression shifted from cherry to surprised. "A boy is living with you? I never took you for the kind who'd do that!" She said to Emilia. "My name is Frederica" she told Subaru, shaking his hand. "It's nice to meet you!"

The two smaller girls stared at him. "Rem" the Pink-haired one said, pointing at the other. "Ram" the blue haired one said, again pointing at the other. "We're twins!" Said the blue haired one, who Subaru assumed was Rem. Rem smiled at him, but the other (Who, Subaru assumed, was Ram) just poker-facedly stared.
"It's, um, nice to meet you all" Subaru told them. "I hope we get along!" He smiled. Emilia chuckled, as did Frederica, as did Rem. Ram didn't react. Subaru already got the feeling she didn't like him.

The bell rang dissonant sounds throughout the school. It was time for the first period.
