“What do you mean cancelled?!” I shouted at Eros because of what she said. “Last day na, why would he back down the last minute?!” I looked around me, everything is almost done. Why the fuck would Cyther cancel the motherfucking event?!

“T-they broke up daw po.” My eyes widened.

“THEY WHAT?!” Napasapo na lang ako sa noo when I absorb everything Eros said.

Lord Jesus Christ, give me strength.

I sat on the monoblock under the staff’s tent and sighed.

I feel bad for him, he made so much effort for nothing. He’s barubal but he doesn’t look like a cheater to me naman. Why would he be dumped by that ugly bitch?

Or maybe he dumped her.

Wait why do I care?

“Miss, ipapaligpit na po ba natin yung—“

“OMG baby is this it?” I heard a high pitched speaking annoying bitch spoke behind me. When I turned to take a look, I saw Cyther with a familiar woman.

Right. The woman he’s with in the picture on IG.

I look at Cyther and he has a bloodshot eye and his ear was bleeding. WHAT THE FUCK?! My eyes are pinned on him that I barely noticed that the woman was talking to me.

“Hey! I’m talking to you!” I suddenly turned to her. “Are you the organizer? I want the flowers change to purple, ang panget ng color combination eh!” I tried to look at her without any hint of annoyance and instructed my staff to change the flowers. I know it will be hard to re arrange things from the start, but Cyther’s wounds really bother me.

His girlfriend was too busy demanding shit and stuff to my staff when I noticed Cyther walking down to the parking. I placed my checklist on the table and followed him. I saw him open the shot gun seat of his car and sat there silently.

“Hey.” I said to call his attention. He looked at me and smiled energetically.

“Isaprank!”

“What?”

“Yung cancel ng event. Isaprank.” He said and chuckled. I shook my head. Sa lahat ng taong mapagpanggap na kilala ko, sya yung pinakaconvincing. If I hadn’t seen his wound I  might’ve believed in him.

“Stay there.” I said and opened my car to get my first aid  kit.

I got a cotton pad and gave it some betadine before coming to give it to him. He gave me a small smile.

“Nag away lang ng konti.” He said, placing the cotton pad behind his ear. “Pero okay na, hindi na sya galit. Akala nya kasi nambababae ako kaya lagi akong wala kaya sinabi ko na lang yung event.”

“Walang nagtatanong.” I said, bitchy.

“Share ko lang bakit ba?” I shook my head.
Why would you have to hurt the person physically and damage them emotionally at the same time? What a shitty girl.

“Balik ka na dun, kaya ko na to.” He said and smiled.

I gave him a nod and walked away. We’re not friends, we’re just in a simple organizer-client relationship but I really feel sorry for him. He wants to marry a woman like that? Gosh that’s a hell ahead of him.

“Miss Rukia, ang dami nyang pinapabago.” Eros said and she held her iPad firmly.

“Let her be.” I said and sat on a chair.

“Hindi nya siguro alam na may sumpa ang Vielle.” Kiara commented and giggled.

Yeah right, our employees believe that we have a curse. If the client is not nice and super barubal, sooner or later naghihiwalay sila o kaya yung business hindi nagboboom.

If it takes effect  on this bitch, hooray! Cyther is saved!

“What the hell?” I whispered, that’s so unprofessional.

A few moments later, Cyther is already  there too. He looks like a very loving boyfriend to his lady, which is his complete opposite.

“Ano ba yan Love, napakabagal naman ng mga yan!” His girlfriend hissed. My staff almost stumbled, carrying the arc for the entrance sa kakamadali dahil reklamo sya ng reklamo.

“Excuse me Miss? The arc weighs much that the people have to carry it slowly, just in case you don’t know. Do you want to give it a lift so you’ll have the idea of  the struggle?” She rolled her eyes on me and stomped on her way to Cyther.

“I don’t like her.” She said loud enough for me to hear.

Well duh, same here.

No one has to like me, the audacity to say that. Hindi ba sya nagseself check? Her character makes me wanna vomit sa totoo lang.

I saw Cyther embraced her from my peripheral vision. I’m in awe, how could he stand such a trashy woman? He’s a barubal person but I can tell he has the most caring heart because he was able to love someone like that.

Vincent crossed my mind for some reason, I wonder how things would’ve ended up between us if he’s not committed to anyone.
I shook the thought away and sighed, I need to work.

He shouldn’t be in my mind right now.

“Congratulations.” I uttered when I entered Cyther’s prep room. “I’ll give you a signal when you’re already up to enter the hall.” He smiled at me.

He’s wearing a white dress shirt with a black coat paired with a black slack and brown shoes. His hair is fixed cleanly—but the wound from behind his ear is too obvious.

“Thanks for everything.” He said, all smiles.

“Don’t thank me yet, the event hasn’t started.” I opened the drawer on his side and took a band aid to place it on his wound.

“You’re nice.” He whispered.

“Di ka sure.” I retorted and chuckled in a bitchy manner.

“Kapag kinasal kami, pwede ikaw rin ang organizer?” He said as I stood up properly after giving his ear a band aid.

I don’t know if I will be able to stand his girlfriend by then but…

“Yeah, sure.”

“Closed deal?” He offered his hand for a shake.

“Deal.” I said and reached his hand.

I left his room after and went to check the venue one last time. Everything looks good. The stage is decorated with roses and diamonds. The garden is decorated with sophisticatedly arranged fairy lights and the lighting is just enough to light up the area without hurting everyone’s eyes.

The event went well, except their guests were mostly uncooperative. I even had to speak up para lang they cooperate well because I can feel Cyther’s stress already.

It wasn’t a surprised  engagement party anymore but I’m in awe with how his girlfriend actually acted like it was one. Ang panget nyang artista sa totoo lang. Hindi ko na tinapos yung event at iniwan ko na lang yung assistant organizer ko don to overlook things until it’s over.

I was on my building’s parking when I saw a familiar figure about five meters away from me.

“Vince…”
