“Oh my gosh!” I quickly came to him when I realized he was madly drunk. “What happened to you?!” I hung his arms over me. He smells like a damn liquor all over!
“K-kia…” He was sobbing. “D-don’t leave me…”
My eyebrows met with his words.
Lasing ka lang.
“That’s enough, what on earth are you doing to yourself?” I said, frustrated now. He didn’t answer and embraced me tightly instead. “Gosh!”
I asked the guard to help me bring him up my unit so I could at least help him sober up.
He was lying down my couch, two buttons of his dress shirt is open, his eyeglasses were worn off, his eyes are puffy and he just look so miserable. I sighed before sitting down beside him.
“Why are you always making things difficult?” I whispered softly before wiping his forehead with a damped towel.
“K-kia…” He uttered in his sleep. “M-mahal kita…”
I bit my lower lip.
“Mahal din kita.”
He then opened his eyes and looked at me. My eyes widened.
“HEY!” I shrieked and stood up. “Were you just acting?!”
“No, I’m really drunk.” He replied, still groggy but he reached for my hand and pulled me in for an embrace.
“Vince, stop it. This is wron—“
“Can we try being selfish for once?” He said. “I’m tired of being right.”
No.
“Can’t we just give it a try?” He added up.
No.
“Be with me…” He whispered weakly.
No.
“Please…” His voice was pleading.
“Alright…”
“YOU DID WHAT?!” I covered my ears from Ruvia’s scream. She’s my twin sister. “Bal naman.”
I looked at her with a pair of sorry eyes.
“S-saglit lang naman, he said he will break up with Shiela soon so—“
“Bal.” She cuttted me off.
I know it’s wrong. Everything about this is wrong, hindi rin ako makapaniwalang pumasok ako sa ganong set up pero andun na eh! It already happened. I know I was too impulsive, masyado akong naging marupok.
“Please don’t tell anyone.” I pleaded but she shook her head.
“Of course I won’t, bakit kita ipapahamak?” She sighed in frustration and hugged me. “But please set things straight bal, you deserve so much more. Please lang naman.” I nodded and hugged her too.
I closed my eyes when Ruvia finally left.
I know everything is messed up, fucked up even. Who would’ve thought that a dignified persona like me will end up being someone’s mistress? Hindi ko rin naman to gusto, but I was left with no choice.
No, I actually have one. I could’ve chosen to reject him, but I didn’t because gusto ko rin syang makasama.
I hugged my knees and sighed.
Naguguluhan na ako, nahihirapan ako but mahal ko eh! Anong magagawa ko?
I closed my eyes and started crying when my phone beep.

I smiled upon reading his message.
One day everything will be alright.
“Miss, okay lang po ba if hindi ako mag overtime today?” Eros asked me so napalingon ako sa kanya from what I was doing on my PC.
“Why?”
“May party po sana akong attend-an mamaya.”
“Okay.” I answered and continued working on my PC.
It’s been two months since Vince and I have been together, not much progress, but I just don’t want to bring up things between him and Shiela. I know mahirap na sa kanya yun so I just kept my mouth shut about it. Hinahayaan ko na lang sya anong klaseng diskarte ang balak nyang gawin.
I was on my way to the cafeteria when I heard my organizers gossiping.
“Naaalala mo ba yung engagement party na si Miss Rukia ang nag arrange?”
“Ay alin? Yung sa poging piloto?”

Almost all of the heads of my departments went home early. Hindi na lang ako nag react since malayo pa naman ang deadlines ng lahat ng department. They should have time to get their own lives too.
I went home early na lang din, Vince said hindi nya ako mapupuntahan since he’s working on this big project and he have to work overtime. I understand naman so I just watch Netflix at home when my phone suddenly beep up out of a message.
