Chapter 12: will you...?

CAROL's POV

Ang bilis. Hindi ko napansin na 1 year na kami ni Mango Shake. Season 78 na. Finals. We have just won against ADMU in 5 freakin and stressing sets. It was close.

Last playing year na namin nila Mika, Ara, Cienne ako at ang Pinakamamahal kong si Mango Shake but it paid off. Exit kami sa LS with flying colors.

This is it. Magpo-propose na ako. I always imagine myself with her. I can see my future with my mango shake. At hindi ko na sya pakakawalan.

Pupunta kami ng London para dun magpakasal if she will say yes. I hope tanggapin nya proposal ko. Magce-celebrate muna.

Ara became Finals MVP.

Nagkukumpulan kaming lahat sa likod ni Ara kasi iniinterview sya ni Jenine Choi our Courtside Reporter.

JENINE CHOI: Ara Congratulations!!! And of course sa buong team. And for gaining the finals MVP award

JENINE CHOI: So Ara, before the game, what were some of the things that Coach Ramil has reminded you.

Yung ibang LS kumakaway, yung iba sumasayaw, all with the smiles on our faces.

ARA: Play and pray hard. Heheh. Number 1 is to pray syempre. tapos Ahm lagi nyang sinasabi na tiwala sa sarili at sa teammates. At kapag medyo nawawala na yung composure, hinga ng malalim and don't mind the crowd.

JENINE CHOI: The fans are really proud and happy that you guys won. But they're going to miss you kase this is your last playing year right? So what are your plans off season?

ARA: Probably we'll be joining the other league... ah we'll see.

LS: WE LOVE YOU DLSU LADY SPIKERS!!! WOOOOHHHHH

JENINE CHOI: (Can't help but laugh)

Volleyball now has become one of the most popular sports here in the Philippines. So coming from the point of view of Ara Galang the Great, what exactly is volleyball for you guys. I mean We, your fans are dying to know the true meaning of volleyball life.

Kaya isa-isa na kaming sasagot. Pinag-aagawan namin yung mike. Si Jenine medyo naiipit na at naitutulak kase mas malaki kami kumpara sa kanya pero nakatawa pa rin sya.

KIM: We can get it up in any position.

KIM DY: Our shorts are tighter than our game.

MAJOY: We can handle a little floor burn.

CAROL: We're always going to hit it hard!

DAWN: We'll play with you indoors or outdoors.

CIENNE: Balls never hit the floor...

CAMILLE: And we'll hit all of them that come our way.

DESREE/ELI SOYUD: We've got quick feet and hands.

ADUKE: We can play with 2 or 6 other people.

JUSTINE: We like it quick, hard and fast!!!

MIKA: And no matter what, we're going to beat you down!!!

ALL LS SABAY SABAY: Because volleyball is more than just a sport, it's a way of life!!!

Saka kami tumalon talon.

JENINE CHOI: Very well said... So may gusto ba kayong batiin?

ARA: Hi sa mga kamag-anak ko sa pampanga.

LS: Lahat na ng family namin batiin mo na.

ARA: Binabati ko lahat ng kamag anak ng teammmates ko. Hahaha!!! Ang kulet.

Pero ako, naglakas loob ako na kunin ulit yung mike.

CAROL: Ahm, hi sa pinakamamahal ko na si Mango Shake. Kilala mo kung sino ka. Alam ko andyan ka lang sa tabi...I love you and I want to spend my lifetime with you.

ALL LS EXCEPT CAMS: UUUUUUUYYYYYY...... WOOOOHHHH..... YEAH BABY YEAH!!!

JENINE CHOI: Congratulations you guys. Back to you Boom and Anton.

At patuloy lang kami sa pag-celebrate, kodakan with fans. Signing ng autographs etc...Full support lahat pati mga dating players ng DLSU LS. Wheeewwww... kakapagod but worth it.

Hanggang sa kailangan na namin pumunta ng locker room.

Si Mango Shake ko tahimik. Lahat kami nakangiti, nakangiti rin naman sya, pababa nga lang.

Kinuha ko na yung ibibigay ko. This is it Carol, no more turning back. Sakto nakaupo sya.

Pumwesto nako sa harap nya. I can bend on my left knee and pretend na tatanggalin ko sintas ng sapatos ko.

CAROL: Cams, mango shake. Pahiram naman ng towel mo tanggalin ko lang saglit tong sintas ko.

CAMILLE: Eto na.

Pagkaabot nya,kinuha ko na bigla yung kamay nya saka ko hinalikan

CAROL: Cams, My mango shake... this may not be as romantic as the other proposals that we've seen on tv, the important thing is I get to ask the girl that I love to marry me

Saka ko nilabas yung Singsing. Yung ibang teammates namin, parang ginagaya yung mga nasa Tatarin (summer solstace) na pelikula. Yung iba sumasayaw. Sina Cienne at Ara tumatalon.

CAROL: Cams, I may not be the perfect one for you but I'll make sure that I will be the only one for you.

Will you marry me?

Nakatitig lang siya. Sana wag nya akong tignan ng ganon kase weakness ko yun eh.

Mali ba ang ginawa ko? Paano kung ayaw nya. Paano kung...

CAMILLE: Kailangan ba talagang umabot sa gnanun Carol?

Biglang nanahimik ang ibang teammates namin. Awwkward...

CAROL: It's okay. Kung sa tingin mo minamadali kita, I'll wait...

My mango shake just sat there, napakseryoso. Ang sakit na ng tuhod ko ah.

CAROL: Mango shake... I'm sorry kung....

Hindi ko na tinapos kase bigla nya akong niyakap.

CAMILLE: I'm just playing with you. Of course it's a yes.

And I couldn't help it. I kissed her.

Ibang LS: Woooohhhh, double celebration!!!

CIENNE: Welcome na welcome ka sa family hipag. Matagal ng hinihintay hinihintay nila mommy at daddy na maging legal na kayo ni Cams.

CAROL: Thanks hipag-to-be

CAMILLE: Kambal!!! Aiyyyyeeeehhh. Tears of joy?

CAMILLE: Oo.

And we're just so happy to share this perfect moment with our teammates na kanina pa humihiyaw at tumatalon.

London here we come... Cant wait for the...ahm...
