Optimus took me to a room near the end of the hall, it had a big cozy bed against a wall. Seeing a bed that big made me smile, I would sleep really good on that. I let go of his servo and flew up onto it, landing and laying down. I was purring as I was already comfy, I missed sleeping in a bed. Optimus came walking over as I spread out my plushies, keeping one of them close to me.

"Comfortable?" He asks.

"Uh huh. I haven't slept in a bed since my papa turned bad..."

Optimus had his optics wide.

"Is he a Decepticon?"

I shake my head.

"No, he...he..."

I started crying. It hurt me to think about how my papa changed so much, and it made Optimus look worried. He hugged me carefully and picked me up, I cried into his chest and he just let me. The nice Autobot pat my back in between my wings, trying to make me feel better. It didn't, it still hurt. I kept crying and crying for a long time, but Optimus just kept patting my back. He let me cry without hitting me like the monster would, my real papa wouldn't do that either.

"It's alright, little one. It's alright." Optimus said.

His voice was so nice, it made me feel a little better. It took a while of back pats and gentle subtle rocking, but I finally calmed down. I look up at Optimus with my ears down, he might be smiling down at me behind his mask. I feel safe around him just like I did with Orion, but I know that he's Orion deep in my spark. Optimus put me back into the bed and covered me with my blanket, handing me one of my plushies. I took it with a purr and held it close.

"We won't talk about that now, little one. What was your name again?" He asks.

"Springlock." I said.

"Well Springlock, you just rest. Can you do that for me?"

I nod, then letting out a loud yawn. I laid down against a fluffy pillow and closed my eyes, curling up into a little ball. I felt Optimus pat my shoulder before I fell asleep right away.

Optimus had put the young Predacon to bed, smiling under his mask as he quietly left the room shutting the door behind him. He did not want to awaken her, she looked tired when she was brought in. He headed off to find Zeta Prime, who was now in the control center. As the second in command was headed there, he couldn't stop thinking about the small Predacon sparkling.

She called him by his original name, Orion Pax. A name he hadn't been called in a long time. She even said that they had met before, but unfortunately he could not remember much of his previous life as a result of an accident that nearly ended it. He didn't know how to respond, so he said he hadnt heard of him. But he did feel a connection to her, he remembered her name and voice the more he thought about it. Even a grey and purple blurry figure started to manifest in his thoughts. Unfortunately the Autobot couldn't make out the figure, it made his helm hurt the more he tried to remember.

"Optimus."

Zeta Prime's voice broke him from his thoughts, the second in command shook his helm and looked to the Prime.

"Zeta." He acknowledged him.

Zeta Prime approached his comrade.

"Something troubles you?" He asks.

He only shrugged. The Prime sighed and shook his head.

"Optimus, events have been very...interesting, to say the very least lately. First that cocky and arrogant purple organic hybrid and her family came to our world a few stellar cycles back-"
