We saw Empress Xeno standing not too far away from us, holding a hand over her face to block out the sun. Optimus and I walked over to them while I carried my cat, who was nuzzling. My ears were drooped because I was still thinking about Mama Elita. It hurt a lot to think about her death, but I made a promise to remember her and I intend to keep it.
"So Prime, how are we gonna do this?" Xeno asks, looking away from the sun and putting her hands on her armored hips.
"We must travel to the Core of the planet and present the spark fragment." Papa said.
Wait, they're going to the Core of Cybertron? Primus himself?! Cool!
"Alright, another trip to the Core. Zexal, do you mind staying back with the kids?" She asked her boyfriend.
"Mom, we can handle them ourselves." Xavier said.
"You sure? There's over 30 of them. Think you can handle it?" Their mother teased.
"Please! We're Praetorians now, we got this!" Coiler said boldly.
I don't even know what a Praetorian is besides an angsty adolescent. Xeno agreed and put her 3 oldest kids in charge of the several others.
"Alright, we ready to head there?" She asks.
"Certainly. Springlock, stay here." Papa told me.
"No. I wanna come too. I wanna see this. Please Papa..."
I gave him the biggest "puppy dog" eyes I could. I could see Xeno in the corner of my eye look ready to snicker or laugh, my papa however just gave a sigh.
"Very well, but we all must be careful. The entrance to the core is nowhere near as stable as it once was."
Oh boy, that doesn't sound too good. Even Xeno and Zexal had a look reading "well crud" on their faces. If they're concerned, then maybe I should be too. But unfortunately, that's what we need to do in order to restore our world.
"Well Prime, lead us there." Xeno said.
Let's do it.
* * * *
Optimus had taken us all down a street that he said would lead us to the Omega Gate. I was actually really excited to see it after hearing so much about it. I mean, Empress Xeno somehow snuck in and got past Omega Supreme. I'm still wondering how she did it, but even she doesn't know herself. That's a bummer. Just up ahead, there was a large building with 2 massive rusty doors. Whoa...is this it? It has to be, right?
We all walked up to the building, my papa went straight up to the doors and put his servo on it. The doors then began to shake, some rust flakes falling off the doors as they then swung inward, inside being a large corridor. My optics went wide and my jaw dropped. Holy scrap! How did my papa do that?? That was SO COOL!! Is he magic? Xeno whistled.
"If only it opened for me when I heard those whispers the first night of being here." She said.
I look towards her, "How did you get in?"
"That vent right there."
She pointed to a large grate rather high off the ground, it made me wonder how the HECK she even got up there. Did she jump? Did she climb? I would've asked but the others were already walking inside, Xeno walked up front with papa while the others stayed behind me. They both seemed to know where they were going, I believe Optimus has been here before too. I could be wrong though.
Looking around, we could all see that the walls were really damaged from Primus knows what, and it was really hard to look at. But if we're gonna restore Cybertron, it's only gonna be a temporary sight. Temporary, just like when my mama said leaving Cybertron was temporary. I mean, she was right, but she isn't here to see it. The thought of Elita brought sadness back to me and my ears droop again.
