She walked forward as she was pulled towards an old rusty door, feeling the cool metal of a gun as it was pressed to the back of her head. She suppressed a cry of fear as she willed her legs forward, towards the place where she knew her life would most likely end.

She wasn't supposed to be here. Her twin was the one who had gotten on their bad side. She hadn't done anything.

Yet, as she continued to walk, she tried to put on a brave face. One of the men dragging her let go of her arm to open the door as the other pushed her inside. She looked around frantically as darkness surrounded her, the fierce smell of gasoline taking over her senses. Immediately, she knew what they were going to do. They were going to burn her, the same way her twin had burned their leader to get away.

She quickly ran to the door and frantically banged on it, hoping that someone would come to her rescue.

"It wasn't me!" She screamed, feeling her heart beat speed up.

"You have to listen to me!" She continued to plead.

But at the sound of a lighter being opened, she turned to see the shadow of a man. Her gasp filled the silence when he moved the lighter closer to his face, showing the dim glow of what her sister had done to him.

"Did you think you could end everything by burning me?" he asked, venom penetrating his tone. She remained still as he continued to speak.

"I told you it won't be easy for you to escape me. Once you're in, you can never go back out."

She knew that he was referring to her sister joining their gang last year. She had done everything she could to stop her. But as she stood across from that man, she knew that she hadn't done enough. She felt tears well around her eyes as he moved it away from his face and took a few steps.

"Sleep tight Valerie. I'll see you when I see you."

Those were his last words before he dropped the lighter, sending the place ablaze and making a quick escape.

"No!" She shrieked, trying to inch away from the flames as they slowly crawled towards her.

Her hands went up to her face as she backed into the wall, shaking violently as fear took over her body. As the flames got closer, she could feel that she was losing control of her sanity, as death got closer too.

She looked up as she heard the sound of a trigger being pulled. She thought that the gun had been aimed at her but was surprised when she was still standing, with the flames still getting closer.

"Help!" She yelled, hoping that the person who had pulled the trigger would come to get her. Instead, she felt the door behind her open before she felt a grip on her arm, as she was pulled out. She turned to look at her saviour but was cut off.

"We need to get out of here now. This place is going to burn down soon."

"Valerie-" Her sister pulled her towards the exit before she could ask her what she was doing there and who had shot the gun.

She followed her sister outside towards a car. Before she could do anything, her sister opened the door and shoved her inside, running to the driver's side and turning on the engine.

"Valerie-"

"Let's talk about it later Violet. We need to get out of here before someone comes after us."

She sat back in her seat as her sister pulled away, keeping her eyes glued to the now burning building, with many questions running through her mind.
