Maggie finds your sleeping form in the backseat of an abandoned car.

{Gender-Neutral}

Maggie and the group have been travelling on the road for some time. When Maggie gets into a slight altercation with Glenn, she tells the group that she's going to look up ahead, leaving them sitting at the end of the road.

That's where she is now. A few minutes away from the group, close enough that they'd hear her scream for help, but far enough for them to not hear her speak. Maggie then decides to look inside an abandoned car hidden underneath some overgrown trees. As she wipes the dust off the window, she peers inside, expecting to see some supplies or maybe even a corpse.

What she didn't expect to see is a sleeping teenager, whose form is huddled up in the corner of the car and barely shivering. Her mouth drops open as she freezes for a moment, not knowing whether or not the kid's alone.

She checks the front of the car and sees no one, she checks her surroundings and sees no one. After she deems the situation safe, she tries to open the door. Of course, it's locked.

"Hmph. Smart kid", she mutters before carefully knocking on the window. She sees the adolescent stir slightly, but not awaken. She knocks harder this time. The teenager's eyes open, and for a few seconds, they blink slowly. Suddenly, they reach down and draw a pistol up, their finger on the trigger.

Maggie immediately shoots her hands in the air in a surrendering gesture, not wanting to die at the hands of a juvenile she planned to help. "Whoa! Hey! I'm not gonna hurt you, alright? I just wanna help", she reveals, trying her best to keep a comforting face instead of one of fear.

For a moment, the teen doesn't move from their defensive position. Then, they slowly lower their gun to their lap. Maggie lowers her hands and moves closer to the window of the car once the kid quietly asks her a question. "Why should I believe you?"

"Well, I'd never hurt a child. And I have no reason to lie to you. Are... Are you alone?" The teenager nods their head, their eyes becoming slightly downcast. "What about you?", they quietly inquire.

"No. I have a group a little ways down the road. They're real nice, I promise. You'll fit right in, honey."

The teen seems to contemplate Maggie's sentence, understanding that she was insinuating they're acceptance into her group. "What if I don't wanna join?" Maggie's eyes widen a bit, having been expecting the kid to immediately join. "I -- Uh, well. I guess we'd leave you be, much to my dismay."
