Mark was devastated last night after what Donghyuck said. He couldn't cook, it was true, which is exactly why Mark can't say anything in return. Everything that came out of Donghyuck's mouth was true, it was why it hurt him so much. But he would try and forget it today. Since he had a day off, since it was Friday, Mark decided he would drop off Donghyuck at school. Mark gets up from his bed and quickly dresses up in some simple attire. He leaves his room and knocks on Donghyuck's, which is located on the other side of his room.
"D-Donghyuck, are you awake?" He hears Donghyuck groan from the other end.
"Just fucking leave me already! Stop caring about me! You're not my husband and I'm not your husband!" Donghyuck yells.
"You'll be late to school, just let me drop you off..." Mark says timidly.
"Fine! Just leave me alone after!"
"O-okay..." Mark goes downstairs and sees Jeno preparing breakfast for Donghyuck. Donghyuck's bag lays on a chair, ready.
"Oh? Young Master, are you going to drop Donghyuck off today?" Jeno asks as he sets the table when he sees Mark arrives dressed up.
"Yes, I'm going to make him a sandwich real quick for lunch, don't tell him though." Mark takes out bread and ingredients and begins to create a chicken sandwich for Donghyuck, which turns out better than he had thought. "Oh my gosh Jeno, look! It's actually edible and looks good! I even made some more for us, they're really good, I think! I haven't tried one, but I think Donghyuck is going to love it!" Mark quickly puts the sandwich in Donghyuck's backpack right as Donghyuck comes down.
"I'm going to eat breakfast at school, let's get this shit over with." Donghyuck leaves the house without anything to eat, so Mark grabs Donghyuck's favorite pop tart and leaves the house behind him. They enter the car in silence.
The car trip remains quiet as nobody would speak up, so Mark ends up playing some calm music. Donghyuck remains on his phone, talking to his girlfriend as out whatever couples talk about. But how would Mark know what they're talking about when he's never had a relationship? The only relationship Mark is going to have is a doomed one with Donghyuck... Mark drives a bit slower than usual and more cautiously to avoid Donghyuck from feeling carsick and to avoid a car accident. When he arrives at school, Mark hands Donghyuck the pop tart.
"Eat this, you'll feel hungry at school otherwise." Mark hands Donghyuck the pop tart.
"Disgusting, I'll take it okay?! Now leave! And don't bother coming home, I'm having friends over." Donghyuck snatches the pop tart and leaves without saying goodbye. When he leaves, Mark's stomach grumbles.
"I'll eat later, I have to first clean the house." He dismisses his hunger.
Mark goes home and instead of relaxing, he cleans the house top to bottom, making sure everything is spotless. He even dares to go inside Donghyuck's room and cleans that up, putting things in the place Donghyuck keeps them and resumes to go to the store to buy some snacks for his friends, stocking them in the pantry because he knew Donghyuck would go through the pantry to find snacks himself rather than ask Mark.
"Young Master! Why didn't you just let me do that work?! You should've called me!" Jeno asks as he enters the house and sees Mark with gloves and very casual clothes on.
"You were with your boyfriend, why would I call you back?! Just because I'm rich doesn't mean I'll go to the extent that you can't even spend time with your boyfriend! Now tell me, how did the date go?" Mark says tired as he sits down on the couch.
"It was amazing! We went to have some coffee and then went to an amusement park after! Wait- did you eat?!"
"Oh! No, not yet, but I had an apple. I'll go get yesterday's leftovers. Tell me, did you and your boyfriend try my sandwich?"
"Yeah, they were amazing! Did you try any?"
"Oh no, I made them for you, Jaemin, and Donghyuck." Mark gets up from the couch and Jeno puts him back down.
"I'll get you something good to eat, you just rest and shower after."
"Thank you so much Jeno!"
One hour later, Donghyuck arrives with his friends and Mark runs up to his room after he hears the door unlock. His plan is to stay silently in his room the entire time so that Donghyuck can peacefully do whatever he's doing with his friends. Mark hears Donghyuck talking loudly with his friends and he wants to tell them to be a bit quieter because his ears are sensitive, but he stops himself from doing so. They were Donghyuck's friends. Mark doesn't have the right to say anything. Mark sits down peacefully reading a book until Donghyuck storms in his room.
"Why are all my things put away?!" He asks harshly. Mark shrinks under Donghyuck's glare.
"I-I just wanted to clean your room s-since you said f-friends we're coming over..."
"Why can't you leave me and my things be?! You don't have the right to touch my things, you're not my husband and you will NEVER EVER be. So just get the fuck out of my life!"
"S-sorry, I won't do t-that again..." Donghyuck storms out and slams the door again. Mark shudders.
"Bitch." Mark slaps himself. "Don't say that Mark, you know he's just frustrated because he can't face true love anymore, what you have is a one sided love."
