"You have to marry him."

"No dad."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes!"

"NO!"

"We have to connect the companies somehow or you'll be killed!" Mark's dad says with worry laced in his voice.

"I'd rather be killed than forced to marry!" Mark's sister Lisa states strongly, her eyes showing a feeling of injustice.

"Don't say that, please!" The dad says sadly, tears swelling in his eyes.

"I'm sorry dad, it's just, I can't! Can't you see? They WANT you to give in!" Lisa yells frustrated.

"Lisa, please, listen, this is not a joke-"

"Why are you giving in?! Why not fight back?!"

"Lisa! Please!"

"D-Dad." Mark speaks up in a small voice.

"What Mark?" Mark's dad says softly.

"I'll marry him instead of Lisa." Mark says.

"What?!" Mark's dad's eyes widen in shock.

"But he hates you Mark." Lisa grabs Mark's shoulder and looks at him pleadingly.

"But the companies will be joined and you'll be free with Jennie. I can do it." Mark smiles softly at his sister.

"No. He hates you so much!" Lisa exclaims and Mark sighs.

"Then I'll try my best to not love him." He says sadly.

"M-Mark, what did I do to deserve you?" Lisa hugs Mark tightly and Mark's dad joins.

"I'll let you marry him instead, but son, please be careful. If he ever abuses you or says anything bad to you, come back home to us, always know that."
