Chapter 5

Mark's sister. His best friend. Time seems to slip past Mark's mind and even though it's Saturday, only one day after Donghyuck yelled at him, it seemed like it had been years. Mark wishes he could free Donghyuck from his state of mind, but he knows he can't. If he let Donghyuck go back home or escape, his sister's life would be at stake. Even after marrying Donghyuck, Mark couldn't do anything to save his sister. How weak and foolish he felt. How powerless he was. The only thing that he could do now, was to protect Donghyuck and make sure his life is as free as it can get

The phone in the Lee's mansion rings and unluckily, Mark is closest to it. Mark walks over to the phone and picks it up, not expecting to be hearing the news he was about to hear.

"Hello, this is Lee's manor, I'm Mark speaking." Mark says into the phone politely.

"Your sister is with me." A voice on the other side says, it sounds like Donghyuck's father. Since Mark was to marry Donghyuck, he found it weird his father would kidnap his sister.

"I'm sorry, I believe you are mistaken, my sister is at wo-"

"Mark! MARK! PLEASE! PLEASE HELP ME!" Mark hears his sister's voice on the other line and he panics.

"How can I get her back?! Please, I beg you, don't do anything to her!"

"Just make sure that Donghyuck never comes back home. Otherwise..." Mark gulps knowing what Donghyuck's father means.

"Okay."

Today Mark had another day off, since it was the weekends, but Mark wanted to do anything to go back to work. But instead of going back, Mark peeks out his door to see if Donghyuck was out yet. When Mark sees no sign of Donghyuck, he walks downstairs. Mark hasn't changed his clothes since Friday, so he was wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.

"Do you want breakfast Young Master?" Jeno asks Mark as he catches sight of him.

"No thank you. I'll be reading a book." Mark whispers sadly as he grabs a random book from the bookshelf and situated himself on the couch.

"No." Jeno says sternly and Mark's eyes widen. "You will eat breakfast and don't let anything Donghyuck said go to your heart."

"...Jeno."

"Yes?"

"I was thinking of giving Donghyuck up and trying to get my sister myself. His father said if he went home he could live a free life doing what he wants."

"But there's a bigger chance you'll be caught and killed with your sister!"

"As long as we die together, I don't mind, but Jeno. I-I couldn't protect her. What kind of brother does that make me?!" A tear slides down Mark's face and Jeno grabs some chocolate giving it to Mark.

"Don't think about it, it's not your fault. Eat this, it'll make you feel happy." Jeno sits down with Mark and Mark hugs Jeno, crying on his shoulders. Donghyuck watches all this unfold from the second floor.
