Lisa's POV
As I walked towards my apartment I started feeling more anxious I feel. My mom's text is making me feel worried, I wonder what happened. She never messaged me like this, never. I wonder what happened. I think of the possibilities but I think none of them made sense. By the time I wondered what might have happened, I was already at home. The minute I stepped into my house I felt scared. My mom was sitting on the couch, with a police officer, and Mr. Kyun, the owner of the CITY HOSPITAL. Oh my god, did they find out what I did yesterday? I walked up to them and greeted the 2 visitors. I took a seat next to my mom as I gulped
"Lisa, answer me honestly, where were you last night?" my mom said looking at me, her voice was sharp and cold. My mom never talked to me like this
I thought of an excuse, not knowing whether it will work on it, I spoke, "Mom, I was at Rose's house. Me, Jennie, Jisoo and Rose were having a get together"
"Then I suppose this bracelet isn't yours," my mom said showing me a bracelet, my name carved on it. I looked at my bare wrist, Shit, my bracelet wasn't there. It must have a slip yesterday.
My mom stared at me sternly before turning to the 2 visitors. "I am sorry for what happened. I really didn't know anything about this. My daughter is just going through a lot, her best friend was found dead recently. I will definitely talk to her. Please, I am so sorry. I promise I will make sure this doesn't happen again"
The inspector and the hospital owner told my mom that this time they are letting it slide but next time they won't. It sounded more like a warning. They both left in another 10 minutes. I picked up my bag and was about to go upstairs but
"Lalisa Manoban come here"
I closed my eyes for a second before going back to her. I slightly bit my lip as I sat down, trying to avoid an eye-contact
"What is happening Lisa? What's wrong with you. Why are you hiding things from me? You know you can share everything with me. I am your mom. Tell me, Lisa"
This time Lisa didn't hold back, she burst into tears, she said as she cried "No mom, I can't. What will happen if I tell you? You will give me some lectures? or maybe even send to me the psychologist. I am a grown-up and I just wanna handle my problems myself for once. Please give me some time, I lost a best friend, I lost my boyfriend, I lost so many things and I need some time. Please for once let me live"
Her mom didn't say anything, she just rubbed her back and then went into the kitchen, maybe she was going to cry too.

It was Sunday, finally, no school, and you can chill in your bedroom, listen to your favorite playlist, gossip to your best friend about your crush, visit the latest mall in the city or complete the assignments you were supposed to finish last week.
