Yoongi bit his lip apprehensively, today was the day he waited for so long. The school was almost over, and so it was time to pick a new captain for the next year's basketball team. Basketball was something Yoongi gave a lot of his attention to. This year he did everything to become the best player on the team and also stay on the coach's good side. He missed so many holidays, vacations, parties, and much more just to practice it, and one thing was clear

He will make sure he gets that captain title, no matter what

It was not just because he wanted this, he promised his parents and his best friends. He was so sure he is getting the position and he knew he didn't want to disappoint anyone.

The coach finally entered the room as the whole team stood as a whole, greeting him. The coach first gave a small yet boring speech, Yoongi pretended he was listening, but he was just screaming internally that "JUST TELL US WHO IS THE LEADER!"

"and the new leader will be," the coach said as Yoongi nervously bit on his fingernails

"Hyunwon or Yoongi, either of them. We will play a match next week too, we will choose the leader then," The coach said as everyone slowly started to disperse as Yoongi sat there wondering how is it possible? Hyunwon is a good player, sure, but he doesn't deserve to be the leader. At least Yoongi thinks so.

Now Yoongi wasn't afraid of the match, but he can't play it, he looked at his injured thumb. How will he play? and he was sure the coach was not postponing it. He never does

"Let's see how Hyunwon would become the leader," muttered under his breath

As Yoongi created a new Twitter account, an anonymous one, he felt a bit unsure if he should do it or not, but at the end of the day, he wanted this. He will get it. He then tweeted, sure it will blow up by the next day, he made sure he tagged the students and the school

"Lee Hyunwon, maybe you wanna tell everyone about how you deal drugs?"

The tweet had blown up as Yoongi expected, not just SNHS, almost half of the town was almost talking about it, Hyunwon was not attending school as his reputation was practically ruined. Even the police were informed and no one will be shocked if the police start an investigation on this.

Yoongi and Somi were sitting in the cafeteria, waiting for the others.
As they both talked about random stuff, a member of the basketball team approached them,
"Aye Yoongi, Coach Nick is callin' you,"
"Comin' right away," he answered him as he immediately sensed what was coming next.

"I will see you in 15 mins or so," Yoongi told Somi as she just nodded and continuing typing on her phone.

Yoongi entered the court to meet the basketball coach. His aim was now going to be complete, even though he did something which he shouldn't have, he was sure he still wanted this.

"Yoongi, am sure you heard about the latest controversy surrounding Hyunwon, so we really can't give the position to someone who is a possible drug dealer, so there is going to be no match, You are the captain, congratulations," his coach briefed him as Yoongi was smiling like he won Olympics. The happiness was too much.

As he walked outside, he was greeted by Somi who was smiling too,

"Congratulations Yoongi," she said as she walked closer

"Thanks, Somi, I did it," he said contemptuously and then Somi took out something from her pocket, "You forgot your phone in the cafeteria. You have some notifications on Twitter, maybe you wanna check them out," her aura suddenly changed, she seemed disappointed, as Yoongi awkwardly took the phone from her

"I am going to tell everyone," she said as she shook her head as she felt really disappointed

"Somi, you won't," Yoongi said sternly, if anyone was not afraid of Somi, it was him. He knew things that the others don't, and maybe he was the only one who kept the courage to speak up against her. He was the only one who didn't let Somi fully control him

"I will, spreading fake allegations about dealing drugs isn't a joke Yoongi," Somi said sternly as she turned back and started walking

"If you say anything to anyone, I will tell everyone about the Maria thing," Yoongi shouted he smirked knowing that it's not only Somi who knows how to play a checkmate.

"You won't asshole," she said turning back, her blood boiling, she wasn't used to people controlling her

"Watch me," he said sternly as he walked past her but before he left he said

"You know Somi, I fucking hate you sometimes,"

CURRENT DAY

Yoongi was flipping the pages of 2017's yearbook as he just saw everyone's picture and random stuff from that year. Yoongi always treasured some memories, the ones that were very special to him. Going through yearbooks helped him remember the good times, but then he came across Hyunwon's picture in the yearbook

He left the school 2 weeks later, the police investigated it for a good 1 month, his parents sent him to boarding school in some other town. Yoongi always regretted that rumor, for one position, he ruined someone's whole life.

But he regretted something more

Blackmailing Somi and telling her that he hates her

For sure, Somi used to blackmail them too, but that didn't mean he should have done it too. Moreover blackmailing her with something, they all promised they would never talk about was something he regretted. And after saying he hates her, he felt like shit.

It didn't fucking matter if Somi would blackmail them or something, she was still his best friend, their best friend, and he didn't hate her.

And that's when a message came in
