Not Giving Up

The Tutor

Julie's POV

  A new day began, bloody monday. Ughh after a lazy weekend spent mostly in my bed with chocolates, horror movie marathon which I watched gladly without even flinching, sleeping, stalking hot clebrities ( Of course, I do it who doesn't?) and what not. Yes, I didnot go to parties and stuff because I'm not a party animal and was not too fond of them.

         All in all this weekend has made me realize my love for my comfy bed and now I will always be loyal to it by gracing it with my presence. Don't you just feel totally awful when you have to wake up early to 'study' after a fabulous weekend. Not to mention I looked like a zombie. After the tearful goodbye to my bed I headed to school.

          Normally, I liked to go to school because of my friends and now I had one more reason to enjoy school, Nate. I catched up with my friends to greet them as we went to our classes. And I had maths. whoop whoop. I saw him walk to the class in all his glory though I was the only one who had noticed but Oh well.

      We chatted normally as the teacher came in. Mr Logan was saying something about test results but I was busy admiring Nate. Yeah, I am well introduced to his features but I just cant get enough and the white t-shirt he was wearing that traced his sculpted abs were not helping either. Sigh. Wait a minute did the teacher just say test results?? THE surprise test that I totally screwed and might've failed. Oh shit. He gave us all our papers with a look of complete dissaproval and dissapointed when he handed mine. And I failed, what to you expect by only attempting six questions anyway. I really needed to get a tutor and fast, with the finals nearing I just can't afford to take risks.

            "Way to go cupcake. I couldn't believe you failed even when I helped you so much." Nate said shaking his head and faking hurt interrupting my thoughts.

        "Well I'm great at sucking at maths." I said not denying my bad performance.

          "I'd like to see what else you suck at." He said wiggling his eyebrows.

 

       I rolled my eyes and said "Let's see how Mr know it all did in his test." and snatched his papers and OH MY GOD.

  "You've got be kidding me Full marks on a surprise test on algebra??" I said shock evident in my voice. He just shrugged.

      "Are you a maths freak or something?" I asked.

        "Once you get the concept maths is actually fun." he said. Is he serious??

         "Maths? Fun? I'd like to see it happening." I said challenging him.

He just rolled his eyes.

         And a thought came to my mind. I could ask him to be my tutor and I could get more of him everyday. Now I was starting to sound creepy. But hey, the idea isn't that bad I thought.

Nate's POV

     I watched her as she was deeply thinking something. She always has that thinking face which I admit is quite cute when she is thinking of something. Then she suddenly turned towards me stretching her lips into a huge grin as she gave me an innocent look before saying.

     "Hey do you know that you are totally hot and very kind? You've got a great heart beneath that rough build of yours. And I'm pretty sure you will be willing to help a damsel in distress. And I happened to have a problem whose name is maths and it is being very problematic these days and I just don't get him at all he is very confusing. So, I just wanted to ask if you would help me understand him. The thing that I'm trying to say is will you be my maths tutor?" she said all in one breath and caught me off guard.

           

             Did she just speak of maths as as if it was a boy? Wow that girl really is something I thought to myself. I dont know how long I had been staring at her because she started waving her hands near my face.

       I put my cocky smirk and said "So you think I'm hot?"

   "Out of all the things I said that's all you say??" she said "So will you be my tutor or not?"

      I was going to say yes when I thought of something intersting. I'll make her beg for it.

   

     "Are you ordering me? Ask me nicely cupcake." I said

"Will you tutor me? " she said.

"Say please." I said totally enjoying this moment.

She sighed but nonetheless said " Nate will you please tutor me?"

    "Say Nate, the hot, sexy beast will you please do the honours of tutoring me." I said because I knew she was desperate.

     She said it through gritted teeth adding a smile at the end . Not just any smile but the 'I will kill you if you ask for more smile'.

      "If you put it like that then there's no denying it. So ok." I said as if it wasn't a big deal.

      She smiled her genuine smile and pulled me into a hug surprising me her sweet smell lingering aroung a bit longer. I said yes but I have a feeling tutoring her will not be as easy as it seems.

      Classes went by and at lunch time while talking I came to know that she has an older brother and I told her about Jayden my 6 year old brother. We both avoided the topic about our families and thankfully she didnot ask me. It pains me still to even talk about them. We decided to meet at hers after the school.

        After school I rode my bike and followed Julie's car which led us into a house. House was an understatement it was a FREAKING MANSION. It was HUGE with a fountain in front garage at the side garden and swimming pool at the back and the house was of creamy white colour. She opened the double doors and I thought damn her parents must be loaded she led me to her room which was huge but for a girl's room neither was it girly or neat. It was messy.

      She cleared up some things from her desk as we were about to learn when she said that she was hungry. So, I followed her around the huge house like a lost puppy and the kitchen happend to be just as good as the rest of the house. She opened the fridge and there were all sorts of food but my eyes fell on one, brownies. I could tell her eyes were in it too we both reached for it but I grabbed it faster than her.

         "Give the brownie Nate and you wont be hurt." she warned me.

" Or else?"  I said putting the brownie up in my hands away from her reach her 5"4 height unable to reach my 6"1.

Without a warning she pounced me like a hungry cat and we both fell on the floor with a loud thud with her sitting on top of me both unharmed.

Just then we both heaed someone's footstep coming towards us and we froze.

         "Julie baby I'm home." said a guy  who seemed to be shocked to see us this way. Talk about being akward.

So guys I finally got it done. Thank god for supportive freinds and family and viewers and lets not forget lots and lots of chocolate due to which I'm able to write these chapters. Who might the mystery man??
