Chance

NICA

I groaned, feeling the hangover's wrath, realizing i was in my room, not the bar. The events of last night flooded back, and i confronted Kenzo.

"Sorry, Nica. Please, give me another chance," Kenzo pleaded, pushing him away, rendering her speechless.

"I don't belong to you anymore, Kenzo. The past is gone, and this is my present. You won't regain my trust; the old Nica who cried over you is gone. Screw you, Kenzo," i asserted, leaving him stunned.

"Seriously? Did I talk to that idiot? How did I even get home? I was so dizzy," i muttered in frustration.

Flashback

Tss, serves him right. Ugh, feeling so dizzy, and no taxis in sight. As I waited, I spotted a car reversing, and I realized it was that jerk's car. I sprinted to hide, forgetting I was in heels, and faceplanted – great, just great. Tried getting up, failed miserably.

"Stupid Nica, get up," I muttered. Tried again, another fail.

"Tatanga tanga ka talaga, just get in. I told you to ride with me," the jerk said, annoyingly.

"I said no! Why are you so persistent?" I retorted, hurling my heel at him. Dodged it, annoyingly smirking.

"Come on, stop being difficult. Do you want me to carry you?" he offered, extending his hand.

"What the fuck? Anong nagiinarte, FYI, Mr. Villafuente, hindi ako yung mga katulad na ibang babae na kailangan pang magpabebe," I shot back, annoyed. The jerk just grinned.

"Tara na nga kasi," he insisted, reaching out his hand.

Ugh, if I refuse, he'll just keep bothering me. Reluctantly, I took his hand, but dizziness hit me, and everything went black.

End of flashback.

I sighed and decided to take a shower. After finishing, I quickly went downstairs, expecting to see Manang in the kitchen. To my surprise, it was my ex, Ezekiel Kenzo Villafuente, who greeted my face. What is this life? Is there no end to ruining my day?

Flashback

"Hmmm, that smells good." I immediately went to the kitchen, and to my surprise, it was Kenzo.

"MORNING, BABE!" I hugged him from behind.

"Good morning!" he grinned.

"What are you cooking?"

"Food."

"Ugh, so cryptic, tsk."

"Hahahaha, this is pancake with bacon."

"Hmmm, uy, my favorite. Dalian mo gusto ko nang makain yan!"

"Come here," he chuckled.

"Nope."

"You're so stubborn," he said, wiping flour on my face.
