Author's Beginning Note:

Hey guys. It's Lelia here, the author- if you didn't know that. I'm gonna start adding the songs that I listened to while writing these above. The songs will either be the inspiration or just songs I listened to- or it could be a song that is referenced later in the chapter. But this one truly is just a song I was listening to while writing this. [Aphmau vibes am I right?] Anyways- that was all, I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Recap...

The silence returned. My mother's sobs cutting through every once and awhile. "I'm so sorry Y/n. What kind of mother am I?- I wasn't here for you when you truly needed me. All I did was fuck everything up and I wish I could change all of that. I'm so... so sorry" She said before her soft cries returned. "Y/n you deserve better. A better mother. A better father. A better boyfriend. But I'm glad even in your darkness you were able to find good people. That blonde friend of yours truly does seem like an amazing and kind-hearted person. I'm glad you found him" I just softly smiled- a broken fragile smile as single tear falling down my left check.

I heard my mother gasp before hearing her soft chuckle. "I'm glad you can hear me little one... It's nice to see your beautiful smile again.." I heard her say.

My body just stood shocked. She saw me smile?'

Clay's POV

The morning came quicker than I expected. The sun rays gazing my face as my eyes fluttered open. I brought my hand up to shield my eyes from the rays that managed to slip through my curtains.

I forced myself to sit up, my blanket pooling on my lap. I swung my legs over the edge of my bed and looked at my pillow. It was still stained from the tears that I wept last night. All I could think about last night was Y/n. I wanted her to be okay. I even tried to call Nick and George to make sure they were okay- especially after I found out they felt the same as I did towards Y/n. But they didn't answer. Nor did they text me anytime afterwards.

I just sighed as I saw my phone filled with notifications from practically everyone but George and Nick. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but I really wanted to check up on the two. I was worried about them. They are my best friends, and even if we're all sobbing over a girl that we all liked I still wanted them to be okay.

I just pocketed my phone as I stood up, walking away from my bed and heading over to the bathroom that was connected to my room. Brushing my teeth and heading out of my room- walking into my living room where Patches was chilling in.

I walked over to my couch- seeing Patches napping on the end of the couch. I just smiled before gently petting the sleeping feline's head as I passed by her, walking towards the kitchen. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket as I walked into the kitchen- instantly pulling it out in hopes it was George or Nick finally getting to me.

To my disappointment, it was just my sister texting me a simple 'Good Morning'. I just sighed before putting my phone back into my pocket- deciding to make myself a cup of coffee and reply to her later.

I walked further into my kitchen, opening a cupboard and grabbing a mug from off a shelf. After grabbing the mug I closed the cupboard door and walked over to my stove. Heating the kettle that was already placed on the stove. Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket once again. Overall deciding to ignore it- thinking that it was just another text from my sister.

After the kettle heated up- it's annoying whistles alerting me. I pulled on the kettle's handle, raising it up from the stove and pouring some hot water into the mug now filled with instant coffee powder that I coincidentally fixed while waiting for the kettle. Placing the kettle back on an unused stovetop before grabbing a spoon from a drawer and stirring the cup filled with newly prepared coffee. Feeling my phone vibrate once more- ignoring it just like I did last time.
