Recap...

I looked back to see George stopping me, a genuine confused look on him and Nick's face. "Clay! Clay! Calm your excitement, fucking hell. What do you mean Nick called it?" He asked as he dropped my wrist.

I just grinned. "Time to visit the awakened sleeping beauty" I said, watching as the two boys' eyes widened- finally understanding. "Come on!" I said as I ran out the door, the other two following behind me as we exited the house, hopping into the car and driving towards the hospital.

I ran ahead of the boys towards Y/n's hospital room. The boys still not far behind me as I swing Y/n's hospital room door wide open. I watch as her head shoots straight to the door- to me. She's sitting up in her bed, offering me her familiar loving smile. Her mother sitting right behind her- also staring at us with a smile.

We walked inside and closed the door. I watched as Y/n's smile downturned slightly. "Mom?" She says in a questioned tone. "Who are these men?" She asked as silence entered the room. No one talked, yet it was so loud. You could literally see George, Nick and my heart shatter the second she said that.

"Y/n?" I heard George ask- his voice so broken it even hurt me.

"D-Do you really not remember us Y/n?" Nick asked, his voice as broken as George's- a quiet sniffle following afterwards. I looked over to see a single tear rolling down Nick's face, I just frowned.

"Aw wait no!~ Sappitus Nappitus! Don't cry!~" I heard Y/n say. All three of our breaths hitching as we just stare wide eyed. She was just playing a prank, of course she was. Y/n held her arms up for a hug, a sly smirk playing on her face.

_________
Nick's POV

My breath hitched as I heard her say that dumb nickname. I look up to see her arms held up wide for a hug- her eyes staring straight at me as a sly, guilty smirk played her face. God, her smile- I missed it. It made thousands of fireworks explode in my heart, and I missed the feeling. I just softly chuckled as I wiped my stray tear, walking over to Y/n and giving her a tight hug. She just gasps.

"You scared me you idiot... please don't do that again.." I whispered close to her ear, quiet enough so only she could hear it- my voice muffled from my face laying flatly in the crook of her neck. She just softly giggled.

"I'd never forget you guys, promise.." She whispered in my ear- a shiver flowing down my spine as I pulled away. My face heating up slightly as I stepped back- hoping she didn't notice, but she just wore a shit eating grin. I just scoffed.

"Finally! I call dibs- Y/n!" I heard George exclaim before feeling myself get pushed out of the way- two arms catching me before I hit the ground. I looked up to see Clay and just smiled as I stood up.

"Thank you" I smiled to him. "And jeez George, rude much?" I rolled my eyes.

"You were taking too long! I wanted my hug!" He pouted as he pulled away, Y/n just laughed. Clay walked over to Y/n as George walked back to me. Clay giving Y/n a quick, tight hug and pulling away to see a pout placed across her face.

"What's wrong?" Clay frowned.

"It's nothing really" She said as she fanned her hand. "It's just my mother filled me in on everything that had happened when I was well in a coma. And she mentioned how you didn't wear a mask, and yet here you are, wearing your mask once again" She sighed as Clay walked away, I just walked back towards her and sat down in the chair beside her.

I just extended my arm out and placed my hand atop her head. Patting her head softly. "One day Y/n, one day" I smiled- seeing her face flush slightly. I just chuckled as my smile turned more into a smirk- she noticed and her face crimsoned.
