I look at his peaceful, sleeping face and glance at the rapidly falling oxygen level.
The amount needed was miscalculated.
We have enough oxygen for one person to reach earth safely.A tear escapes my eyes as I float to the control hatch and open the emergency door of the spaceship.
Alarms ring.
I plunge into space.
Suddenly I'm being pulled back.
The door bangs shut.
"Why?"
I point at the oxygen levels.
"I'm a humanoid. I don't need air."
"What? No."
"But why would you die for me?"
I keep quiet .
He sighs, "Oh right. Human emotions. It's love."
