Chapter 4

"Why are you meeting me now? Why didn’t you tell your boyfriend to stop the wedding?  I'm telling you I Won't call of the wedding "
"Relax.. Are you ok? You don’t have to call off the wedding actually.... "
"Then what do you want from me? Why did you call me?"
"Because....."
"Because?? "
"I still love P'San. But unfortunately we can't be together because of his father. But I don’t want him to suffer. So I wanna beg you to take good care of him..."
"Huh?"
"You see we were forced to break up recently.  So it’s natural that he can't accept you now. But he had no choice but to do it for his parents. "
"I'm also doing it for my parents. " mumbled Gulf.
"Do you have a boyfriend?  Then don’t marry him."
"I don’t.  But even if I had hundreds of boyfriends I would have still married p'San."
"So can you please take care of him?"
"I'll try my best so that this marriage works."
"Thanks.. That means a lot."
"I'm really sorry for your loss. But I can't do anything. "
"It’s ok I understand. "
"Phi... You are really a nice person you know. Other people would have threatened me to break the marriage but you..."
Puifai gave a sad smile hearing this.
"I don’t wanna be a burden on him."
"Phi let's be friends.  I really like you."
"Ok nong. From now on you’ll be the most important person of his life. So you're the most important for me too."

They chatted about many things while having lunch. Puifai told a lot of things about San and told Gulf that these would help him conquer San. She requested Gulf to work a little hard and not to give up. Gulf was also glad to meet her and said he would never forget her sacrifice and try his best.

After some time they both left together and went to a gift shop. Gulf bought her a gift as a thank you for lunch and also got a gift for San. He was afraid Puifai would be hurt but she insisted on choosing the gift for San herself so Gulf didn’t say anything else. After that Gulf offered Puifai a lift but she refused saying she she has something to do.

After Gulf left she received a message from an unknown number and smirked. Then she called someone and said, "Where are you? Can you meet me now?"
"Yes it's urgent."
"Ok I'll send you the adress."

After sending a location she went to that place and did something in her phone with a smirk in her face. The cold and vicious look in her eyes were enough for sending a shiver through anyone’s back. But as soon as the door of the private box opened,  her expression changed into a gentle and timid one.

The engagement banquet

The engagement party was really grand... Why won't it be? It's  a great way to promote the good relationship between two top business group and all their future corporations... It's totally a showoff in business industry.  As Gulf is the future heir of Kanawuts so his father took this opportunity to introduce him with the business world and all his partners. San Suppasit also thought it was a great way to increase connections... So both of the attraction of the party were busy with their parents to receive different business personalities with fake smiles.

After some time Mr. Suppasit went to stage to announce the news of the engagement.  He first called Mr. Kanawut to the stage. They both praised each other in front of media for some time then called their sons and introduced them. After the ring exchange the parents left the stage leaving the two of them.

They both were silently standing on the stage and occasionally smiled at the people who came to talk or bless them. Gulf was getting uncomfortable so he decided to break the silent atmosphere.

"Hi phi."
San scrunched his face in disgust and was going to say something but immediately stop Himself and greeted one of the guests with a smile. Gulf was amused at his sudden changes of expression but he didn’t say anything.
After the guest was gone San turned to him and said coldly,  "Listen you bitch... No need to act so friendly with me when we are alone."
Gulf was hurt by this. He knew that they were not in love and San was forced to marry... But he hoped they at least could be friends.  But he quickly masked his hurt expression with a smile seeing his mom coming at their direction.

"Gulf how is it son? Do you like San?" asked Gulf's mother in a low voice.
Gulf thought he can't say anything to his parents.  Besides he promised Puifai that he would try. So he would try his best to make San accept him. Even San can't accept him he would take good care of him despite being hurt.
"He is a nice guy mom. Don't worry about me. I'll be happy."
Gulf's mother was relaxed by after listening.  Actually they both liked San a lot as he  was polite, well behaved and hardworking (only if they knew😟).  They were worried about Gulf's opinion as they thought they were forcing Gulf. But after Gulf's reassurance they felt a lot better.

Gulf was determined to get along with San. So after the guests left when their parents suggested them to spend some time together Gulf immediately agreed. So San had no way but to agree.

In the rooftop of the banquet hall

Gulf loves stargazing.  So his father suggested them to go to the rooftop.  Gulf was mesmerised to see the night sky.  So he became speechless for a moment and was enjoying the view. But suddenly...
"Speak."
"Huh?"
"You were so eager to meet me alone. So what do you have to say to me?"
"Nothing special. "
"I have no time to waste for your hobby. I'm going downstairs. "

Gulf was somewhat hurt by San's cold behaviour.  But as if he remembered something,  he stopped San abruptly.
"Phi wait for a moment please. I've something to show you. Please don’t go."
And with that he ran downstairs....

There you go guys with a new chapter..  I've tried to make this chapter longer than the others.. Sorry if it doesn’t satisfy you.
