Chapter 2

Same day in Kanawuts' house

A sound of someone running in the stairs can be heard. And then a cheerful greeting towards everyone including the staffs can be heard. There sit a middle aged couple with a smile in dining table waiting for the cheerful voice.
"Good morning mom,dad."
"Good morning young man."
"Good morning baby."
"Mom I'm not a baby anymore. " whined the boy. His parents chuckled at that.
"You will always be my baby, darling." said Mrs. Kanawut to Gulf.

Yes the cheerful voice was of Gulf Kanawut, the adopted Child of Kanawut couple.  Though Gulf is their adopted child, they love him like their own.

"Mom I'll be late today."
"Ok my son."
"By the way what's your plan for today, young man? Any party up?"
"Dad you know I don’t like to party. I have football practice today after class. That's why I'll be late."
"Oh... Actually... "
"What is it dad?"
"I've something to talk to you. Let's talk tonight."
"Is it serious??  Any problem dad? Should I skip my practice today??"
"No no that's not needed. I'll be late too as I have a meeting today.  Let's talk after dinner."
"Okay dad."

Gulf's P.O.V.

Hii I'm Gulf Kanawut.  Actually I'm not the real child of Kanawut.  My parents left me at the roadside when I was only two with a note that they can't take care of me. So I really don't know who my real parents are. But I'm quite lucky that my present mom and dad found me and decided to adopt me. They never treated me like an outsider. They love me more than anything else and I'm grateful to them. I also love them with all my heart. I also love my sister- the daughter of Kanawut couple.  Though she doesn’t like me much cause she thinks that mom dad love me more. She is right anyways. Her name is Becca. She is now 18 and studying in Australia. 

Whatever...  Why am I babbling so much? Cause it's my habit whenever I'm nervous.  Yeah I'm nervous about how serious dad looked this morning.  What does he wanna say? Is there any problem in the business?  Basically I don’t wanna take over the business...  I'm not interested in business and Becca is the rightful owner anyway. But dad wished for me to be his heir and I couldn’t deny him. But if Becca wants I'll hand it over to her without thinking.

   ~Time skip~

After dinner

Mom and dad is sitting in a sofa. I sat in front of them in a single couch.  I am feeling more nervous seeing them hesitating so much.

"So how's your study going? " asked dad.
"It's fine dad. I'm sure I'll score the highest in the next exam."
"That's good to hear. And what about other things?"
"Other things? You mean football? "
"Noo I know you are the captain plus star player of your team."
"Then what is it dad?"
"Do you have a boyfriend? "
This question caught me off guard.  Not because of the boyfriend part. Yes I'm gay and I came out to my parents when I was 14. But I was surprised why suddenly this question.
"Why are you asking this question dad?"
"Nothing serious.  It's just you’re already 22 and you didn’t introduce anyone to us."
"Cause I never dated anyone. If  I date someone I'll introduce to you first."
"So is there anyone you like?"
"No dad."
"Son the matter is..."
"Dad will you please stop hesitating?  You know you can tell me anything, right?"
"Son I'm not forcing you... I'm just saying...."
"Saying what dad?"
"You know I'm recently working in a big project with Suppasit group right?"
"Yes dad."
Don't be surprised.  Dad tells me about every project as he wants me to take over the company as soon as I graduate.
"He has two sons. He told me that his eldest son is interested in you. Do you wanna meet him?"
Oh It's a simple matter. I don’t know why he was hesitating so much.  From a young age I've decided I'll marry the person of my parent's choice. They know the best for me. That's why I never dated anyone.
"Dad why are you hesitating?  It's not a big deal. I know you’ll always choose the best for me."
"I met him once last week. He is very polite. He is working as a COO of his dad's company.  He'll take over the company after his dad retires. He is very hardworking and efficient in his work."
"If you think he is good then he is perfect for me."
"No son It'll always be your choice."

Suddenly dad's phone rings. Dad put it in loudspeaker.
"Yes Mr. Suppasit? "
"Hello Mr. Kanawut. Did you talk to your son?"
"Yes yes. We were talking about it just now."
"Oh then did your son agree for marriage? "
"Ahh I think they should meet first and then decide?"
"Come on Mr. Kanawut you already met my son. You know how he is. Actually he is getting a little impatient.  Young generation this days... Hahaha..."
"Yeah I Understand. " said dad chuckling.
"I can send a picture of my son for Gulf to see. But is it okay if we held the engagement party next week?"
"Huh so soon??"
"Actually my younger son will come next month and he wants to attend his brothers wedding. "
I tugged dad's sleeves.
"Mr. Suppasit one minute. What is it son?"
"It's fine dad. I'm ready. " I smiled at him. He also smiled back.
"Okay Mr. Suppasit. The engagement would be next week. We've no problem."

I know you guys are surprised as to why I agree to marry a person without even seeing his picture let alone meeting him. Well first Suppasit project is very important for our company and we can't offend them. And second cause I trust my dad's choice. So now that's it. I'm gonna get engaged next week and married in next month....
