Chapter 7

The next day San and Gulf returned to their apartment. As usual San returned home drunk and beat Gulf at night. Gulf didn't make a noise and only thought what a joke his life was. He just got a day break from this hellish life only because they returned to San's parents' house. How ironic!!
However the next day was another relief for Gulf. Mew unknowingly became saviour of Gulf again. He came to stay at San's apartment claiming he missed his phi very much. Gulf had to move to San's room but he was happy he won't get beaten although he has to sleep on the floor. As Mew came unannounced Gulf couldn't shift his things from guest room. When mew entered the guest room he sensed something wrong as if someone was already living there for many days. He was quite suspicious but didn't ask Gulf anything. He told Gulf not to tell his phi about his arrival as he would be surprised to see Mew when he returns from his office. But Gulf was afraid San would get mad at him so he sent a text to San.

Surprisingly San returned for lunch that day for the first time. Mew didn't suspect anything as he thought maybe his brother always returns for lunch to his beloved wife. This thought brought a uncomfortable feeling in him but he forcefully brushed off that feeling. But Gulf knew San returned because he was afraid Gulf would complain to his brother about him or mew would suspect anything. He acted surprised to see Mew and dragged Gulf towards the bedroom saying he had something to tell Gulf. He reprimanded Gulf for not shifting his clothes from guest room and said to agree to whatever he tells Mew.

Mew was already sitting in the table waiting for the couple. San came and smiled at mew. Gulf followed him like a lost puppy. Mew didn't like the slave like expression of Gulf but didn't say anything. Gulf served lunch to San and when he went to take mew's bowl to serve him Mew noticed a fresh bruise in Gulf's forearm. He can't but ask him about the bruise. Gulf quickly hid his hand behind him and subconsciously looked at San. San showed him angry eyes and quickly changed his expression fearing mew would notice something. Mew really noticed the exchange between them.
San acted worried and asked," Oh I really didn't notice. How did you get hurt baby?? Does it hurt a lot?? Did you apply medicine??"
Gulf was speechless. He stuttered," I ... It's nothing serious. I just burnt my hand while.. yeah while cooking. I have applied medicine it will be better soon."
"But it doesn't look like a burn." Said Mew.
"It really is a burn. I removed my hand quickly so it didn't get worse." Said Gulf and smiled nervously.
He thought--- I was happy that Mew came cause I won't get beaten but why he has to be so nosy?? I don't know what will his brother do to me.... He shivered just thinking about that.

Suddenly San asked dragging Gulf out of his thoughts," baby did you shift your clothes from the guest room??"
Gulf cringed hearing San calling him baby and he was also confused as to why San took the initiative to tell Mew that he lived in the guest room. Will he tell everything to Mew and then they both torture him together?? Gulf was afraid and just shook his head.
"Why are his clothes in the guest room in the  first place??" Asked Mew.
"Oh... that's because he isn't habituated to share closet to anyone so I told him to take the whole closet of the guest room."
Though Mew didn't believe his words he just nodded. The next few days of Mew living at San's apartment he sensed many things wrong. But he couldn't get what exactly the problem was. It made him more restless. San returned for lunch everyday and also returned quickly after office. He also behaved lovingly with Gulf. But what was awkward was Gulf's reaction. Like mew noticed every time San called Gulf baby, he cringed like he isn't used to it. Gulf always has the slave like expression around San and would get stiff whenever San got near him. But he was a whole new person when San isn't at home. He is talkative,lively and funny. Mew was getting more and more attracted to Gulf. He knew that was wrong but he couldn't control himself.
Mew and Gulf became good friends in the past few days. Gulf's classes were off so they spent the whole time together when San was in the office. They shared many common interests so they didn't fall short of topics to talk. They talk, play games and had fun every morning after San went to the office. Mew really loved to see Gulf laugh. He can't but stare at Gulf's sparkling eyes whenever he laughs.
But as soon as San returns Gulf becomes another person. He won't say a single word to Mew then even if it's necessary. This change in Gulf's behaviour increased mew's suspicion more. At first he thought it was because San would get jealous if Gulf got close to him. But he noticed Gulf didn't talk much even with San like someone ordered him not to talk if San is around. Every small but abnormal events stuck like a thorn in mew's thoughts but he couldn't connect the events together no matter how much he tries. He could see San acts really like a loving husband with Gulf.

He returned to Suppasit mansion after some days with an uneasy feeling. Then he started investigating both San and Gulf's past and decided to meet Gulf's parents.

Gulf's parents treated Mew like their own son. Mew understood from where Gulf got that friendly personality of his. But after talking for a long time Mew couldn't discover anything from them. Gulf's parents were really happy with their son-in-law. He only got a new information that Gulf didn't know San before marriage. It was San who loved Gulf after seeing him in a party. So Mew thought all the uneasy behaviour of Gulf was due to he couldn't get comfortable with San till now as they both have different personalities and also an age gap. So he brushed off all negative thoughts thinking it will be alright with time.

[Hi guys... Here is another update... Now what will happen as Mew is catching feelings for Gulf but he brushed off all his doubts?? Will he ever come to know how unfairly Gulf is being treated??
