Virgil couldn't stop fidgeting with the strings on the dark hoodie he was wearing as he made his way over to Roman's dorm. This would be the second time that he saw Roman in person. Most of their other conversations were always spoken over the phone if not through letters, but it was something entirely to feel the warmth of Roman's hands holding his during the chillier nights. It was a feeling he never wanted to leave.
He paused in front of the door to Roman's dorm, frantically pushing his purple bangs away from his eyes. He wasn't sure why he was freaking out so much about it. It wasn't like Roman hasn't seen him like that, but this time it felt... different? Somehow?
He let out a soft sigh before knocking twice on the door. It was barely a minute later when the door was thrown open and Roman launched himself into Virgil's arms, holding him tightly. Virgil was quickly enveloped in the scent of cinnamon that he had come to long for in Roman's absence. Roman had been gone for a month and it was all still sort of hitting him that they had known each other for four months now.
"I missed you so much, Stormcloud." Roman breathed, just holding Virgil close to his chest. The past month had been an absolute rollercoaster between him visiting family, being so far north, wanting nothing more than to come back to the one person that made him smile like no one else. He clutched onto the hoodie that Virgil was wearing, feeling the soft fabric bunch under his fingers.
Virgil tried to steady his beating heart, unable to keep the smile from his face at the nickname. "I missed you too, Princey." His left hand had threaded itself into Roman's curls, pressing his face into the fluffy strands and just inhaling. He didn't just smell like cinnamon. He smelt like... home.
It was then that he realized that Roman was wearing his patchwork jacket. He smiled a little more, pulling back to get a better look at the shorter in his oversized jacket. "Well, aren't you cute?"
Roman flushed a rose color, glaring at him playfully before he smirked. "Remember when I called you Hot Topic?"
Virgil furrowed his brows in confusion. "Um, yeah?"
Roman chuckled before he stated, "I still stand by that statement." He ruffled Virgil's hair, pulling a whine from the boy, before dashing down the hall. "Keep up!"
Virgil rolled his eyes and reached in the doorway, grabbing the bag that Roman had left and taking the keys from the counter to lock his door. "You're so lucky Logan isn't here right now or you would be dead." He mumbled to himself with a smile before following after Roman.

Virgil led Roman down the sidewalk of his neighborhood, Roman looking around at the different houses. Virgil smiled at the wonderous expression on the elder's face, shaking his head slightly and leading him down a side road where the houses began to spread out a little more.
He was lucky enough to get one of those houses that weren't built right on top of each other. He appreciated not being all up in his neighbors business and them not being in his. When he made it to his house, there was a car in the driveway, which he assumed had to be Remus and Janus because, like Roman and Virgil, Logan and Patton were walking.
He assumed correctly when a guy looking very similar to Roman stepped out of the passenger seat. The only difference was he was sporting a mustache and a silver streak in his otherwise plain hair, and instead of having a redder disposition in his clothing, he had more green. Despite them being twins, Virgil felt no attraction towards Remus. Not emotional, nor physical. Personally, to him, Remus didn't hold the same spark for him that Roman did.
