Superman: Metropolis. A shining example of human achievement. This is where we made our final stand against Darkseid and his para demons, born in the fire pits of a distant world called "Apokalypse". But what seemed like victory was only the beginning

(Superman grabs Darkseid by the collar)

Superman: Its over, Darkseid!

Darkseid: Don't be so sure, Kryptonian!

(Superman punches Darkseid, making him fly into a street below)

Lex Luthor: Took you long enough

Superman: Luthor. You threaten the safety of earth for your own personal gain. You allied yourself with Darkseid

Lex Luthor: I was only trying to ensure humanity's survival in the event you and your other so called "super heroes" failed

(A portal opens up, and Darkseid is about to walk through)

Lex Luthor: Darkseid's activating another inter dimensional boom tube! He's going to escape!

Darkseid: This isn't over, Superman

Superman: Don't be so sure, Darkseid

(Superman uses his heat vision on Darkseid)

Darkseid: Insolent fool! You're de stabilizing the boom tube!

(The portal explodes, taking Darkseid with it)

Lex Luthor: I'm amazed you didn't kill us

Superman: Save it, Luthor. This time you're going to jail. But this time you'll be somewhere much more secure than Stryker's island

Lex Luthor: What?!

(Superman grabs Lex Luthor and flies away)

Superman: Don't worry. I'll make sure your cell has a nice view of earth

(Meanwhile)

Raiden: The realms are in constant flux. They shift and change like an endless dream. Shao Khan's defeat should have marked our victory against a threat of the merging of earth realm and out world. Instead, it heralded a new struggle for independence

(Shao Khan kneels as Quan Chi comes through a portal)

Quan Chi: Shinnok will be displeased by your inability to take earth realm

(Shao Khan hits the ground with his hammer)

Shao Khan: Hold your tongue, sorcerer!

(Raiden and Echo teleport in)

Shao Khan: Raiden

(Raiden hits Shao Khan with a blast of lightning)

Echo: You two have much to atone for

Raiden: Your invasion of earth realm has violated the rules of mortal kombat, Shao Khan. Baraka and your tarkatan horde has been routed by the forces of light. Even now your allies desert you

(Quan Chi is about to walk through a portal but gets blocked by Echo)

Shao Khan: Quan Chi! Traitor!

(Shao Khan hits Quan Chi with his hammer)

(Right as Shao Khan is about to kill Quan Chi, Raiden hits him with a blast of lightning, sending him into a portal)

Shao Khan: What have you done?!

(The portal explodes, taking Shao Khan with it)

(Echo draws his sword)

Echo: You're next

(Quan Chi backs away from Echo)

Raiden: No, Echo. I will handle this

(Echo nods and walks away)

Raiden: Earth realm will never succumb to the forces of darkness, Quan Chi. Now you will face the judgement of the elder gods

(Raiden grabs Quan Chi and teleports away)
