Chapter 3

Zuko's POV-

I watched Sokka try his boba and as soon as he did he got so excited "Dude this is so good!" He said loudly causing me to laugh at his cuteness "Told you!" I said still laughing. I saw Toph whisper something in Katara's ear causing her to laugh. We stayed at the tea shop even after we finished our tea, we just talked and I was so genuinely happy that these were my friends they made me so happy that I couldnt have my usual grumpy look on around them. Toph was leaning on Aangs shoulder asleep "I think we should get Toph home, you coming Sokka?" Katara said "Actually Zuko do you want to hang out a little more? I'm not ready to go home just yet." He said smiling "Ya of course we can hang out upstairs" "Well guess that's my answer. Zuko can you help me put Toph in the car?" Katara asked I nodded and picked Toph up causing Sokkas mouth to fall open by how easy she was to pick up. I brought her to the car and put her in the back seat. "Night guys!" I said walking inside again "Um w-wow I didnt realize how strong you are" Sokka said blushing I didnt think it would be that easy to impress him Toph was really small and light so she was easy to pick up. "Thanks but I'm really not Tophs like barely 100 pounds" I said laughing as I was sat next to Sokka "You wanna go upstairs? Uncle has to close soon." I said "Ya sure" I put a 20 on the table before Sokka could even grab his wallet "You don't have to pay I was going to." He said "Its okay plus I get a big discount anyway." I said standing and holding my hand out to help Sokka up. He took my hand "See you later uncle" I said "Don't have to much fun" he responded assuming me and Sokka were together since we were holding hands. We got upstairs to my apartment and I asked "Wanna hang out in my room?" "Um ya sure" Sokka said and I led him to my room I didnt fully close the door as I walked in and we sat on my bed "So what should we do?" I asked "Oh wanna watch Netflix?" He asked I nodded and put on a movie. We were facing towards my closet and I saw Sokka look over to it and he saw my flag, I got nervous knowing he saw it but instead of hate there was a little sparkle in his eyes almost like relief. "Zuko?" He said 'oh shit he's gonna leave' I thought "Ya?" I said nervously as Sokka moved closer to me. We were laying on my pillows but not that close, I felt him put his head on my chest and his arm around my waist. I moved my arm around his shoulder and held him tightly. We finished the movie in eachothers arms and as I tried to get up to start another I noticed he fell asleep so I just put the blanket over us and fell asleep holding onto Sokka.

"Zuko?" I heard a gentle voice say "Huh?" "Come on we fell asleep and my dads pissed can you take me home?" Sokka asked moving my hair out of my face. I held him a little tighter and then let go "Ya just let me wake up a little" I said getting out of bed "Do you need some clothes?" I asked walking to my dresser needing some for myself too "Ya that would be awesome" he said sitting at the edge of my bed. I handed him a tshirt and a pair of sweatpants and grabbed myself a similar outfit "I'll get dressed in the bathroom you get dressed in here" he nodded and I walked to the bathroom. I got dressed and brushed my teeth and walked walked back to my room and knocked "You done?" I asked "Ya" I heard so I walked in. Sokka was finishing putting on his shirt so i got a good view of his abs. "Let's go before I'm grounded for eternity" he said slipping on his shoes and laughing. It was a Saturday so we didnt miss school but Sokka wasnt supposed to spend the night so I understood why he was in trouble. We walked out to my car and got in. "Sorry bu the way I didnt mean to fall asleep" Sokka said resting his head on the door "Its okay I fell asleep too" I said while driving to his house "This it?" I said pulling into the driveway he led me to. "Ya thank you Zuko" he said hugging me before getting out. I blushed at the small hug and backed out driving back home I walked upstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat "Hello nephew did you have fun with your friend?" Uncle Iroh said as I went into the kitchen and got a box of cereal. "Ya Sokka and I accidentally fell asleep so i had to drive him home." I said making myself a bowl of lucky charms "Oh I see it that why you two were cuddling?" I almost dropped the milk in shock "Oh you saw that?" I said finishing pouring the milk and sitting at the bar stool "I'm happy you've made such nice friends" he said scrambling himself some eggs "Ya they're awesome" I said and felt my phone buzz.
