Y/n's pov

"Yams what am I supposed to do?" I ask. "I can do school and volleyball, that's it."

"Its fine," he assures me. "I called Tsuki a few minutes ago, he said that he'll handle it."

"What is he supposed to do? Is he gonna put on the dress?" I question. "I'd pay to see that."

"You have to go on stage in a couple of minutes," Takahashi says. "I managed to get them to push you to the end."

"Well, what is his stupid plan?" I ask. "Because I'm right about jump out a window into a bowl of nails."

"Someone's positive today," I recognize the voice as Kei's.

"So you've finally arrived," I say.

No jokes Y/n, or references. We are facing a life or death situation right now, get it together.

"Kei, I'm going to die," I say. "My death is upon us, you better pull up to my funeral like Ciel, you must."

"You're not going to die," he says taking a seat. "Stop freaking out."

"Stop freaking out? Are you serious?" I question. "I need talent."

"It's fine I already sorted everything out," he says. "So just relax."

"You hear this guy?" I look over to Yamaguchi and Takahashi. "He's playing?"

"I'm not an idiot unlike you," Kei says. "When I say I got things sorted, I got things sorted."

"You sound like a thug," I say.

"Whatever," he rolls his eyes. "Shouldn't you be preparing?"

"For what?" I ask. "Prepare for what? To get humiliated? To die? I'm going to get bashed after I go out there empty-handed."

"Y/n its time for you to go on," Takahashi says. "Are you ready?"

"I'm not ready," I say. "I'm only ready to perish."

"You'll be okay," he says. "Now off you go."

"What no?" I shake my head frantically. "I can't."

"Go on now," he says getting up to usher me toward the exit.

"Kei, I can't," I say. "What am I gonna do?"

"What that song you liked?" he asks. "The nightmare one, by Halsey. Yeah, you listen to that on repeat."

"No," I say.

"Were gonna go out in the crowd," Yamaguchi says. "Okay?"

"Alright," Kei says. "I'll meet you guys out there."

"Kei, I can't do it," I say. "I'm not gonna sing."

"You can sing," he says. "You'll be fine."

"I'm going to embarrass myself out there," I say. "I-I w-... I ca-."

"Shh," he cups my face. "I wouldn't get you to do anything if I thought you'd fail completely. Okay? So please don't cry, it's fine."

"I wasn't gonna cry," I say. "I'm not a crybaby."

"And your eyes are getting red for what?" he asks.

"Drugs," I say. "Black tar heroin to be exact."

"See your fine," he says. "Now off you go."

"I still can't do it," I say. "You can't ma-."

He cuts me off by giving me a quick peck on the lips.

"Yeah yeah," he says.

"Yeah yeah?" I question.

"Yeah yeah," he nods his head.

"Singing challenge," I breath out.

"Yes, singing challenge," he says. "Now go."

And the next thing I know, i'm in the middle of a stage.

Dressed up.

With a microphone.

And I'm about to shank myself.

Hey guys, it's me, Crouton. I tried to write this next part and it's pissing me off.

"I'm gonna be sick," those are the first things I say as I walk off the stage.

"What are you serious?" Yamaguchi asks. "Should I call Tsuki over?"

"No," I shake my head.

"Are you gonna puke?" he asks.

"No," I say. "Maybe."

"Please don't be sick," he says. "I'm not good with sick people."

"Drugs," I say. "I require drugs."

"Should I take you to the nurses?" He asks.

"No," I say. "Drugs and sleep."

He leads me back to the dressing room where I slump down in the corner of the room.

"Can you pass my bag?" I ask.

"Yeah sure," he says as he brings it over.

I go through my bag a take a pain killer, I also pull out my blanket.

"Are you sure that I shouldn't get someone?" he asks.

"I'm just gonna take a nap," I say as I wrap up in the blanket.

"What about when the announce whos won?" he asks.

"Don't care," I say. "I'm not trying to puke, I want to curl up into a pot of boiling clowns."

"Um..." he pauses. "Okay."

And with that, he's off, somewhere.

No, I can't with this. Ugh, today is not a good day for writing.
