Chapter 9✨

The last bell rang and everybody rushed out of the school building, winter break was finally here. I squeezed through the large crowd of people hugging and saying Bye to each like they weren't all going to the same party tomorrow! "Girl I'm about to fuck somebody up, somebody just split something on my shoe" Jaliyah said while walking up to me, "damn somebody just put they big ass foot of my ugg" I said wiggling my foot around so Jaliyah could see. We both just laughed but stopped when we both heard, "Wassam Jayda". I turned around and it was the second finest boy at Riverside, his name was MacAruther but everyone call him Mac. He was like a Kentrell every girl wanted him except I knew he was loyal unlike Kentrell if it wasn't for Kentrell approaching me first I would've tried to talk to Mac. I snapped out of my thoughts when he asked was I going to the party, I hesitated originally I wasn't going to go but after a lot of convincing from Jaliyah I finally gave in and said Yes. I just shook my head, he smiled showing all of his straight white teeth and told me he was going to text me later I just gave a slight smile and said ok. As he walked away Jaliyah quickly poked me which made me turn around just to see Kentrell walking towards us, "y'all ready" we just shook our head and followed Kentrell to his car. As we were walking Jaliyah whispered to me, "girl you better be carful trying to mess over Kentrell you know he crazy" we just laughed. Once we got in the car I saw a Snapchat notification flash across my screen, I opened my phone and it was from Mac. I side eyed Kentrell to make sure he wasn't looking and opened the message, i was greeted with heart eyes under a picture I had posted right before going to school. I just sent hearts back with a Thank you following it, I then passed my phone to Jaliyah while saying look. "Aw' Shit" is all I heard before reaching back for my phone but Kentrell beat me to it and grabbed it. He glanced at the phone laughed, "lame ass nigga" is the only thing he said before pulling up to the house. I snatched my phone and began to walk up to the door. Once we got in Kentrell just stormed upstairs and slammed the door, "damn Jayda you got to be giving that good top for him to be that mad" we just busted out into laughter. "Why da' fuck y'all laughing so loud" Ben said as he slowly walked downstairs rubbing his eyes and fixing his basketball shorts. "You need to stop playing and come to school" he just laughed while saying, "I'll be there when I feel like it". I just rolled my eyes and continued my conversation with Jaliyah, it was kind of like I was all the boys mom or something. Fast forward to the next day, Kentrell hadn't said anything to me last night except "can you pass me my charger". I was picking out my outfit for the party, I wanted something cute but basic. I just picked out a blue shirt, white ripped jeans, and my low blue Jordan 11's. As I was re lacing my shoes I saw the same pair of Jordans walk in front of me, I looked up and Kentrell had the same outfit on as me it was even down the shirt. "Damn I didn't know you wanted to match" "this so niggas know you mines and won't try shit" is what Kentrell said and he lifted his shirt revealing his gun. I just rolled my eyes and walked over to the mirror so I could take some pictures before we headed out. Of course Kentrell had to join in a few of my pictures but I really didn't mind I kind of thought it was cute. We waited for all the boys and Jaliyah to get to the house so we could pile in our two cars and head to the party. Once we got there the block was filled, we parked around the corner got out and started making our way to the house where the party was being held at. Of course we were stopped multiple times by girls and boys shaking and dapping up with Kentrell and the rest of the boys. As soon as we stepped in it was like the smell of weed and Wipe me down by Boosie and Webbie slapped me as hard as It could in my face. After about 5 minutes me and Kentrell parted ways and me and Jaliyah found a corner to stand in. We just stood there watching every one sing word for word of each song that played and Jiggin to any song they could possibly Jig to. "I'll be right back" is what I said to Jaliyah before walking off to look for Kentrell, as I pushed through the crowd of people somebody bumped into me. "Oh shit My ba" before they could finish our eyes locked and a smile formed on my face. "Aw Wassam Jayda" Mac said while going in for a hug, "I thought yo ass ain't come, I probly couldn't find you since you so damn short". "Boy fuck you" is all I said before we burst into laugher, we got out of the crowd of people and went to lean on a wall. We were standing there talking for about 10 minutes when I felt a tight grip on my shirt and I was yanked back. I looked up and of course it was Kentrell, it didn't take long for him and Mac to start arguing. Me and Jaliyah tried to pull Kentrell back but as soon as we thought we had him one of the boys popped up. Now it was a gang Vs gang argument at this point since Mac friends joined in. I looked around and everybody that was in the house had stopped what they were doing and just watched the argument. 5 minutes later shots rang out, I barley grabbed Jaliyah hand since Kentrell was damn near pulling me out the house. Once we turnt the corner I let go of Kentrell's hand and began to walk ahead of him. Once we all got by our cars I waited for him to open the door but he just stood there. "Hurry up mane" I said irritatedly, "I know you ain't mad about dude lame ass". It didn't take long for me and Kentrell to start arguing a few people turned there heads to see what was going on but most was still running and rushing to get to there cars or the bus stop. The last thing I said to Kentrell was "Fuck you" before I started walking I didn't know where I was walking to I just started walking. I heard Jaliyah yelling my name, I turned around to see her walking behind me I just slowed down my pace. "Guh' just get in the car and you can spend the night at my house or stay for the whole break I don't care". I just stopped turned around and made my way back to the car, the whole car ride was silent only thing we heard was the quiet music from the radio playing and the squeaking of Kentrell tires as he turned each corner. Once we pulled up to the Jaliyah I started to get out until I heard, "where you going". I didn't want to do this but I honestly felt I had to, I took a deep breath "here go my whole fucking love life" I said to myself. "Trell I love you but this is just toxic and I don't need that right now, I'm done FOREAL"! Just like that I closed the car door and walked up to Jaliyah's front door ignoring Kentrell calling my name.
