"..." Lan Xing and Hong Yue stared at each other as they stood at the entrance of their dormitory where the Haifeng Mall's employee had dropped them as part of the mall's services. The employee also wanted to help them carry their things to their unit, but they stopped him.
"Sorry." Lan Xing apologized.
"... there's no need to." Hong Yue said. Actually, he is relieved.
"But – " Lan Xing said and immediately took out his phone. " – I forgot the hoverboard on the trunk of the taxi." He said as he called the app's service agent to contact the taxi driver earlier. It's already 7 PM. "I'm sorry." He told Hong Yue. His handsome, thick brows are knitted. He's more upset than he is.
"No, no. It's not me whom you should apologize to. It's senior Hei." Hong Yue said as they boarded the elevator.
"No. I should apologize to you since I already gave it to you." Lan Xing said.
Hong Yue's thoughts are different. "Really. It's originally senior Hei's." he told him.
"But now, it's yours." Lan Xing said. The doors of the elevator closed but they are still arguing.
He Ying and the others came out of their hiding. "Oh, my god! They've been together the whole day!" she exclaimed as she clutched her chest while her other hand held her camera tight.
"Yes! This morning, I saw them passed by. They wore different clothes!"
"Now, they're wearing couple clothes! And their hair is even wet!"
"THIS IS - !"
"THE CELESTIAL CP IS REAL!!!" they all exclaimed as they looked at each other and meaningfully smiled.
"Tomorrow is Sunday. Who will be going back home?"
"Me."
"Then, I'll stay here with Ying-jiejie tomorrow to see if we can find another evidence of the Celestial CP."
"Okay. I'll join you on Monday!"
"Agreed!"
Then, their group dispersed. They called it a day. Meanwhile, the Celestial CP they're talking about is still arguing as they went inside their unit.
Lan Xing looked at his phone when he received a message. "The driver said he'll send the hoverboard early in the morning tomorrow." He told Hong Yue.
Hong Yue immediately became frozen and his muscles are taut. "That's..." he said and lowered his gaze. Should I tell him? He thought as he looked at Lan Xing.
Lan Xing didn't hear Hong Yue speak. He looked at him, only to see him staring at him. "What's wrong?" he asked when he noticed Hong Yue's expression. He had seen Hong Yue smiled and it's warmer and brighter than the sun. He also had seen him looking serious when he first had seen him on the bleachers. However, right now, Hong Yue's expression is neither of the two.
Hong Yue... looked very matured. It was charming, but Lan Xing suddenly felt sad as he looked at him.
"Are you hungry?"
"What?" Lan Xing said. He was taken aback by the sudden change in their topic.
"I'll go cook." Hong Yue said as he walked to the kitchen without waiting for Lan Xing's reply.
It's so fast, the change in Hong Yue's mood. Lan Xing suspected Hong Yue's schizophrenic, but seeing Hong Yue acting normal as he cooked in the kitchen, and even humming, he discarded the thought.
He went to his room to sort out the things he bought. At the same time, Hong Yue's phone rang. He looked at the caller and immediately answered the call when he saw it was Huang Ziming and not Huang Anyi. "Uncle." He called as he cooked.
"Yue-er." Huang Ziming called. "Your uncle Zhang called me earlier, asking about your condition." He explained.
"What did you tell him?" Hong Yue asked.
"I said you're already fine." Huang Ziming answered. "The privilege card..." he said.
Hong Yue chuckled. "It's been almost a decade I haven't used it. I just reactivated it. What's the matter?" he asked.
"Nothing." Huang Ziming answered. After all, it's Hong Yue who has the biggest share in the Haifeng Mall. "You... won't be using that name again?" he asked. "Mengyun." He called.
Hong Yue's hand holding the ladle froze before he drew a sharp breath. "I can't discard that name." he said. "It has lots of privileges." He joked.
Huang Ziming finally relaxed. "I'll call you 'Yue-er', then." He said as he helplessly smiled. He glanced at Song Xuqi whose face became clouded.
"Thanks, uncle." Hong Yue sincerely said and ended the call. He placed his phone in the kitchen counter before he continued cooking.
"You had a call?" Lan Xing said when he heard Hong Yue's voice earlier.
"Yes." Hong Yue nodded. "You're taking a bath?" he asked when he saw the towel in Lan Xing's hand.
"Yes." Lan Xing nodded and smelled the food's aroma. "It smells good." He said as he walked up behind Hong Yue and peered to the dish he's cooking, making his head just beside Hong Yue's face.
Hong Yue's mind is racing as various thoughts popped in his head. Calm down. This is normal. This is normal. He thought as he suppressed his indecent thoughts. Lan Xing is straight. I am straight. We're both straight. He added as he held the ladle tight. "I... ehem." He immediately cleared his throat when his voice croaked because of the sexual tension that rose in the air. He's just checking the food, not me... shut up, brain! He scolded in his mind. "T-the food will be ready in a few minutes." He told him.
Lan Xing nodded and he withdrew his head. "Alright. I'll immediately wash up." He said before he went to the bathroom.
When he heard the door closed, Hong Yue sighed in relief. He held his chest when he felt his heart is thumping loudly. "... damn fudanshi." He cursed himself. Even I didn't let myself off. He thought.
Meanwhile, Lan Xing was staring at the bath tub as he filled it up. "... am I gay?" he asked himself. Earlier, it wasn't his intention but he just suddenly had the urge to stick himself close to Hong Yue when he saw his back. He felt the other looked lonely. Had he not holding his towel on his one hand while he held his phone on his other hand, he thinks he would have wrapped his arms around Hong Yue earlier. "..." is it gay? He thought. He never had any close friends before, so he is confused.
If it was Hei Yuanqi earlier and not Hong Yue... nah. He shook his head. How about Bai Wenhe? He thought and imagined Bai Wenhe before he burst out laughing. He scratched his head before he opened his phone and saw his wallpaper. It was him wearing a cold face, and someone who wore a bright smile is standing beside him.
It's his cousin – Lan Chuxi, who had committed suicide because of him.
(A/N: This wouldn't turn dark like Lan Xing forcing Hong Yue to commit suicide later, okay? This. Is. Fluff! I only want to write fluff! – this author is in denial.)
