"Ah." Hong Yue muttered when he remembered something. "I don't need to clarify to him whether he's gay or not?" he asked as he stared at the screen of his laptop. Forget it. He thought and sighed before he opened the Word app on his desktop and resumed writing. However, his rhythm was broken. He pouted, feeling upset. "What to do today..." he muttered and turned, only to see the standees on the side. His eyes sparkled. "That's right! I can still watch anime!" he exclaimed as he immediately pulled out one from the rack.
Suddenly, he heard someone knocked. "Hong Yue." Lan Xing called.
"Wait!" he cried before he walked towards the door and opened it. "Hm?" he muttered when he saw him. "Somehow... you looked different?" he can't help but say. Too late to take back his words. However, Lan Xing didn't have that much reaction.
"What are you doing?" Lan Xing asked.
"My rhythm's gone off-track." Hong Yue answered. "Can I watch anime here?" he asked and pointed the large TV in the living room.
Lan Xing, remembering the words he spoke to Scarlet earlier, nodded. "Sure." He answered. "What anime?" he asked.
"Gintama." Hong Yue answered.
"I'll buy you snacks." Lan Xing said. He didn't wait for Hong Yue to reply since he immediately left.
Hong Yue whose one luggage is full of snacks. "..." his other luggage is full of anime merchandise. He only had a few clothes, too, since he doesn't go out too much and only during some occasions. "He sure is energetic." He muttered, referring to Lan Xing. "Forget it. He's not my boyfriend. He's my brother." He muttered as he played the anime in the DVD player. "But..." he said when he remembered Rigel. He's pitiful, just like me. He thought before his attention was caught by the opening song of the anime. "Itoshiki hibi yo ogenki desu ka? Kisetsu wa meguri toki wa nagarete~" he sang. "Chikyuu wa mawaru mezamenai... yume no naka ni boku o nokoshite!" he smiled. "kono koe o todoketai... ano hi kawashita yakusoku ga aru! Mada shiranai sekai de kimi o mamoreru~" he rocked his head. "Tsuyoi jibun o torimodosu mahou no kotoba nara~" he placed his hand on his chest. "Koko ni aru HERE IN MY HEART. Kawaranai yume o. Nakushitari shinai yo... HEY! LET'S GO OUT!" he yelled as he raised his hands and head. Doing so, he saw Lan Xing standing behind him and staring down at him. "Ah." He muttered.
Lan Xing didn't say anything and just sat beside on, cross-legged, on the carpeted floor. "The song is really nice." He said.
Hong Yue felt his face became beet red from embarrassment. He looked away and coughed his throat. "Let's watch." He just said.
Lan Xing nodded as he handed him the snacks.
Huang family villa.
"Young master Mengyun..." Song Xuqi muttered as he looked at Huang Ziming.
Huang Ziming sighed as he patted the young man's shoulder. "You've worked hard." He told him as he looked at Song Xuqi. His eyes are filled with sympathy. "He wants to let go of the past." He told Song Xuqi.
"I know." Song Xuqi said.
Huang Ziming can guess what is Song Xuqi thinking. "I know you love him." He said. What does he mean by 'love', it wasn't clear. Only Song Xuqi knows what he feels. "However, he wanted to change now." He said.
Song Xuqi lowered his head. "If young master hadn't met young miss..." he said.
"Song Xuqi!" Huang Ziming called. His voice thundered in the office. "Not to protect my daughter, but do you want for Mengyun to continue to live in the past... continue feeling pain... continue to suffer?!" he asked as he glared at the young butler. "You're too dedicated in your work. Mengyun knows that. He finally moved on, but saw you still haven't yet so he gave you to us since..." he gritted his teeth. "Your work for him has already finished. He knows you'll lose an objective to continue living, thus you are now here. However, Mengyun doesn't want you to be stuck in the past." He told him. "Song Xuqi. Mengyun treats you not as a servant, but a family. A friend. You're more family to him than his parents." He said and sighed when he remembered his friend Hong Weiheng and Li Ran. "Mengyun only wants what's best for you as his only family remaining. He doesn't want to hurt you. I hope you can respect his last wish as your master." He looked at Song Xuqi who now looked pitiful. "You live what your heart tells you to." He told him and patted his shoulder before he left.
Song Xuqi didn't move from his spot and remained silent. "Young master... Mengyun..." he called before he lowered his head. A tear fell from his eye and dropped to the floor. He stared at his reflection on the shining floor.
He's handsome and young... yet he looked devastated.
Shuihua University, dormitory.
Hong Yue cried while Lan Xing's expression is frozen after they finished watching the four episodes. "Gin-sannnn..." Hong Yue cried as he wiped his tears. "Poor Gin-san. It's Kagura and Shinpachi's fault!" he said. "That robot... wuwuwuwu..." he cried.
Lan Xing stared at the ending credits before he turned to Hong Yue who's still wailing beside him. He looked comical, yet also looked pitiful. "Alright. Rest your eyes for two hours. We have forgotten to eat lunch." He sighed.
Hong Yue sniffed and wiped his tears before he turned to Lan Xing. "Right. You have a stomach problem. I'm sorry." He said and lowered his head.
Lan Xing sighed. "It doesn't matter." He told him and patted his head, pushing the fact that Zhou Tianshan sent him hundreds of messages and gave him tens of missed calls reminding him to eat lunch, out of his head. "Let's eat together." He told him.
Hong Yue gave a start. "Where to?" he blinked in surprise.
However, Lan Xing didn't answer and just pulled him out of their dormitory. He didn't mind the fact that Hong Yue was just dressed in simple clothes while he's also dressed in his jersey clothes. They went to a five-star restaurant, ignoring the gazes thrown at them by the socialites.
"Huh? Juniors!" a loud voice called.
Hong Yue and Lan Xing turned. They saw Hei Yuanqi and Bai Wenhe. "Senior!" Hong Yue exclaimed in surprise.
"Oh, my god! Director Bai's younger brother and film emperor Hei's younger brother knows these boys?" a customer whispered as she looked at Hong Yue and Lan Xing, but not actually a whisper since Hong Yue and Lan Xing can hear them.
A waiter walked towards Hong Yue and Lan Xing. Their clothes are really informal. "Good day, sirs." He respectfully greeted. "We only do reservations here and not walk-ins. May I ask if sirs had already made their reservation?" he asked.
"Pft." Another customer unkindly laughed.
Hong Yue's brows raised but he didn't speak. You call them socialites? I can slap them with my cards. He thought and frowned in displeasure.
Lan Xing saw Hong Yue's mood dampened. Normally, he wouldn't argue with these people and let the ignorant waiter off. However, he is with Hong Yue, and Hong Yue looked pissed. He turned to the waiter as he tilted his head. "You don't recognize who your boss is?" he asked him.
A collective gasp was heard and the waiter paled in fright. The customers' jaw dropped, including Hong Yue's. "Lan Xing!" he cried as he stared at Lan Xing in shock. "This is your restaurant?!" he exclaimed.
"'Lan Xing'? That name sounds familiar..." a customer murmured.
"Idiot! You don't recognize him?! He's Zhou Tianshan's son! Didn't he just say it? He's also this restaurant's owner!"
