( This is a flashback to when Quincy and Lani were dating and in high school)

Lani's POV

"See it would be a regular cool day but Quincy hasn't been at school the whole day. Not just I small part of the day but the entire day. Oh and to add onto it all HE HASN'T ANSWERED ANY OF MY CALLS" I yell into the phone with Morgan.

" I know Lani were gonna figure it out. Just go handle what you have to do and I'll call around and ask if anyones seen him." Morgan says.

We say our goodbyes and I head to my doctors appointment. 

At first it was a regular checkup but I haven't been feeling good lately so there for I'm going to see what's the issue.

" Hi I'm here for my 3 o'clock appointment under Lani Parker." I tell the lady.

She nods and I sit down in a chair. 

I continue to try and call and text Quincy but he doesn't answer. 

I just decide to take Morgan's advice and do what I gotta do.

" Lani Parker" A nurse calls.

We walk into a room and she takes my blood pressure.

" Okay the doctor ordered that you take a few tests so pee in this cup so we can test it." She tells me.

I nod and go handle my business. 

A little while the doctor comes in. 

" Okay Ms.Parker we ran a few test and it turns out your pregnant." My doctor tells me.

" Huh" I look up super fast.

" Ya 5 weeks to be exact, I'm surprised you haven't noticed. When was your last period?" 

I start to think, I thought it was just late, I'm use to it being irregular.

" Well of course there are other options, there's adoption or an abortion what ever makes you comfortable." He says as he hands me two pamphlets.

I nod and walk outta the office.

I go to the car and call Morgan. 

" This is bad" Is the first thing I tell her.

" What's going on? What do you mean?" She asks.

"I'm pregnant" I say.

" HUH?" She yells

" I'm fucking pregnant." I say again.

" Oh shit............... Well Lani Quincy's at home. I just got done talking to him." She tells me.

" Okay, um I'll talk to you later." I hang up and drove.

If I start to think about it to much I'm gonna break down.

I finally pull up to his house. 

I walked right inside since I have a key. 

A knock on his room door, it bust open.

" Hey baby" He says.

" 'Hey baby' that's all you got I've been calling all day I've been worried." I yell at him.

" I know that's my fault, I broke my phone so I've been all around town trying to fix it and I had to end up getting a new one." He tells me.

I nod my head understanding.

" We need to talk, like this is some serious stuff." I say.

" Is everything okay? Why you talkin like that?" He asks.

" So I went to the doctors today since I haven't been feeling good lately. They ran some test and-"

Just as I was about to tell him there's a loud noise.

We both jump up and he grabs a gun.

" What the fuck is that" I scream.

" Just stay here and keep the door closed." He tells me.

" Quincy what the-" he cuts me off.

" I said just stay here okay just trust me." He says as he walks out the door ad closes it. 

I sit in the room until I start hearing yelling. 

I walk out the room and see a whole swat team. 

" QUINCY WHAT THE FUCK" I scream.

" Ma'am stay where you are and don't move." An officer says.

" Ay man leave her outta this she didn't do anything." I hear Quincy say. 

" Quincy Carter your under arrest for the possession of Marijuana and crack cocaine. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say and can be used against in the court of law-" I stop listening to him and go to Quincy.

" Baby I'm sorry don't be mad, please" Quincy starts to beg.

" Don't worry it's okay, I'm gonna come visit okay, we can talk this all out." I tell him.

I watch as the officers walk him out and put him in the car. 

I ran to my car and call Morgan.

" They arrested him" I cry to her.

" What? Lani it's okay, you have to breath your gonna pass out if you don't."

" Just go up to the jail and see if you can talk to him." She says.

I hang up and cry.

I'm pregnant and my baby father and boyfriend is in jail.

( Next day) 

I head into the jail and give them Quincy's name. 

I didn't take them long to put him in since they had all the evidence they needed. 

I sit at one of the tables and wait.

After a while I feel someone sit down on the opposite bench.

" Hey." I say.

" What do you want?" He asks.

I look at him funny and laugh.

" Quincy what are you talking about. I told you I was gonna come down here and talk to you." I explain.

He kisses his lips.

" You don't need to be here. I don't want you to see me like this." He says.

" I'm not the one who's in here. I wasn't gonna say anything but dope Quincy really? You know how I am about that stuff especially after my brother and you wanna do this shit?" I whisper-yell.

" I know and I'm sorry but you can't do this" He says back.

"Well what you want me to do?" I ask.

" Don't come here, I don't wanna see you here" 

" What about what I had to tell you?" I ask.

" Don't care, wait till I get out." He replies.

" Don't contact me, don't ask about me, I'll see you when I get out, take care and I love you." He kisses the top of my head and walks off.

I sit there for a minute in shock about what just happened. 

I get up walk to my car and sat in silence.

I'm a 18 year old pregnant still living with her parents and doesn't have the baby father to support her. 

Fuck the mothafuckin world.

Ya I know short ass chapter I just needed yall to get a understanding of what happened between them. Also about why she has the feeling towards him she does. 

ALSOOOOO imma start including songs that remind me of the chapter in that chapter cause I honestly think that's a cool idea.
