For as long as I could remember I would see the picture perfect relationships on Disney. Since I grew up watching that I believed that, that's exactly what my relationship would be like. But once I got into one it was different. All the expectations I had were demolished and I had to rethink everything. Sometimes I think if I had got in a relationship with someone who wasn't Quincy would it had been different. 

" Fucking hell Lani," Morgan says.

I try and open my mouth to say something but I couldn't, lucky my phone started ringing.

" Hello," I answer.

" Lani, Lay is throwing up and she won't stop crying for you." My dad says on the other line.

I hang up and turn to Morgan.

" We gotta go it's Lay." I tell her.

I start heading to the door but once again I was stopped.

" So are you gonna act like you don't see me" Quincy asks. 

" Look I don't have time to talk, I have something I need to handle. " I tell him.

He looks at me and shakes his head. Morgan and I run to my car and speed to my dads.

" Imma just run inside and get Lay then we can head to my house." I tell Morgan.

I get inside and see Lay on the couch watching tv.

" Mommy!" She yells

" Hey mama you okay." I ask her.

" Kinda I still feel a bit werid." She says.

I turn to my dad and before I can say anything he says.

" You saw him didn't you." 

I nod and walk out, I didn't really wanna talk about it.

I get home and put Lay in bed. 

I walk out and sit on the couch with Morgan.

" I hate it here" I tell her.

" I know but Lani you been knew this was gonna happen." She said.

" I know, I know. But how am I gonna tell Lay. She ask all the time and I always say ' I tell you when you're older." 

" Lani you just gonna have to tell her." Morgan replies.

" Tell me what" A small voice says.

We turn around and Lays right there. I sigh well here goes nothing.

" Come here baby" I say patting the seat next to me.

" You know you always ask where your dad is?" She nods her head " Okay so when him and mommy were younger, he was into some bad stuff. While he was dong that stuff I found out I was pregnant with you. Before I could tell him he went away. And ever since then I stopped talking to him and moved and had you. -" 

" And with the help of me of course." Morgan said cutting me off. I sided eyed her and went back to the story.

"I didn't want you to know him till I knew he was trying to good with his life again. And I saw him before I came to get you." I tell her

I look as Lay tries to process everything. She looks at me and starts smiling.

" See she took that gene from him she's a psycho."  Morgan yells.
