A Christmas Story

"A Christmas Story"

Once upon a time in a land not afar

Dwells a hapless poor girl with atrocious scars

Perched on the filthy ground in a nearby car

Piteous thoughts vagabonding up to Mars

As the Christmas lights flicker just like the stars.

A sudden gaze at such lustrous luminosity

Made a pang of wishful thinking seize this entity

It's much apparent upon her eyes' viridity

As they caught a glimpse of an enthralling Christmas tree

A plea, a murmur, to end this sad reality.

A hope to grab a hold of the world's genuine beauty

Longing to beat the cold and feel warm tepidity

To be free and playful like other kids' levity

But then, these desires flied in a moment's brevity

When a blinding light came to cease her insanity.

And so she stood with all her existing might

Clinging on to dear life so fierce and tight

Her vision roaming to the source of light

Inside the car lies what must be a sprite

Who'll grant her fervent wish that fateful night.

Out her vehicle, the mademoiselle went

Smiled, sauntered, and stoop in a little bent

Her mind says one thing, "This girl is heaven sent.-

That the One up there cordially let her lent."

For both of them, together they were real meant.

The myriad ornamental lights

Remains flicking in sheer delight

Another sanguine tale of faith

Proves it is all worthy to wait

Before one could revel and sate.
