"Draco!"

I shout as I run after him.

"Get away from me."

Draco sneers out, making me remember the times he treated me badly.

"Draco, please don't do this again."

I plead as I shake my head.

I grab his hand but he pushes me away, causing me to fall back down onto the bed. I look up and see his disgusted face.

"Don't touch me with your filthy tainted hands."

He spat before walking out of my room.

"The salad is good."

I awkwardly compliment.

Draco looks at me in silence, meeting my soft eyes with a glare.

I look down at my plate, not daring to say a word as Draco continues to ignore me. All day I tried my best for him to forgive me but there was no luck.

"Draco."

I softly say, he looks at me with the same cold eyes he had when we first met.

"I'm sorry."

I genuinely apologize, but with no luck, Draco just glares at me.

"Erm.. thanks for the dinner."

I awkwardly thank as I put my dishes away. Draco remains silent, I can feel his anger from a mile away. It was sad that we're back to square one, especially since we made so much progress in a short amount of time.

"Draco..."

I say as I walk to his side, he is still sitting at the dinner table.

"Can you please forgive me?"

I ask as I wraps my hands around his arm.

"Please?"

I beg.

I see his eyes side glancing me and a small inch of hope appears in my heart. That hope shatters as Draco pushes his arm towards me, causing me to strike down onto the floor. He picked up his utensils and began to eat as if nothing happened.

"I see how it's going to be now."

I mutter with pain as I slowly pick myself up, not bothered to wipe the blood off of my scraped knee.

I walked out the back door with a lighter and a pack of cigarettes, I needed some fresh air. I sit onto the rock that sat right in front of the glowing lake. The moonlight acted as a lantern almost, lighting the area up.

"Koda."

I called out.

Koda walked past me and looked back, he hissed before running inside.

Traitor

I thought to myself.

I light up my cigarette and took a good exhale, my problems felt like it dissolved. Temporarily, of course. I look up to the window of Draco's room and notice him towering over the window. We make eye contact before he shuts the blinds. I look down at the cigarette that rested in between my fingers. I have no friends with me, not even my cat.

It felt like I was back in my old school, where I was relentlessly teased and isolated. I came to Hogwarts for a fresh start, I came into this world to make new friends and when I finally got a friend the world just had to throw a obstacle.

I look at the glimmering lake that sat in front of me. I wanted to go out into the water but without the boat. I looked up to the blinded window of Draco and then looked at the water that reflected the moon.

I didn't know what I was thinking when I threw my socks out to the side before submerging my legs in. It was awfully cold but I didn't care at this point. My clothes weighed me down but I didn't care at this point, I just wanted to be in the water.

"What are you doing, Celeste?"

I hear my grandma shout.

"Relaxing!"

I shout before submerging my entire body underwater to feel the silence. I used to do this a lot when I was younger, submerging my body into the water and staying there. I used to stay under the water until the last minute of death, it was of course dangerous but never gave me adrenaline. Instead, it gave me a sense of serenity.

I hear my grandmother's muffled voice, causing me to spring up.

"Yes?"

I ask as I wipe the water off of my eyes.

"You're doing that again."

My grandmother says.

"Why are you here so late?"

I ask.

"I just wanted to check up on you two."

"At 9 PM in the afternoon?"

I ask.

My grandmother just nods before knocking on the door.

"Ever since she was little she was always such a peculiar child."

Esmerald Saloux says to Draco, who is serving her tea.

"I noticed."

Draco says in a neutral tone.

"She used to do that a lot."

Mrs. Emerald says as she looks out the window.

"Do what, may I ask?"

Draco asks curiously, he had no clue what was going on.

"Submerging herself into the water. At first it used to scare me, she used to stay under there for minutes before coming up to the air with her face all purple."

Draco listens to her words carefully.

"But I guess that that happens when you raise your grandchild alone."

Mrs. Esmerald says with a chuckle.

"Alone?"

Draco asks, more to himself.

"Yes, alone. Without her mother and with her grandfather and father sent to azkaban, I was really the only one who could look after her"

Draco nodded as he got comfortable in the sofa across from the elderly Saloux.

"Of course, I never told her about her grandfather and father being sent to azkaban... I was too afraid of her becoming more peculiar."

Mrs. Esmerald says with a soft chuckle.

Draco stared at her with a shocked expression as he takes in the information.

"If you're wondering about her mother, she passed away."

Mrs. Saloux says, making Draco feel a little bit of pity.

"That rotten fool of a husband was the cause of it, that's why I let her take my name instead."

Mrs. Saloux says to Draco.

"Please don't tell Celeste about this dear, she has no clue. Thanks for the tea by the way, I will let your father know about your progress."

Is all what Esmerald said before banishing into thin air.

Draco took a sip out of his tea before looking out at the window to see Celeste. He observed his watch patiently as he waited for her to come up. After the first lake incident, Draco felt weary whenever Celeste swam. His watch hits the 2 minute mark and Draco was ready to go out to the lake. He didn't want to be responsible for her death, but before he could step out of the back door, Celeste's head popped back up into the air.

Idiot.

He thought to himself.
